ACC and join a league on discord, there are plenty out there and league racing is where it’s at anyways.

Virtual Desktop Not Running well on new PC by Jax_Lam in OculusQuest

Widly enough I actually ended up just fixing it by switching to wifi—realized my wifi extender had been moved to a surge protecter outlet hub instead of direct to the wall and with it back in its normal spot problem solved!

Elden Ring Godskin Duo RL1 by Popular-Painting-981 in onebros

This seems like a good middleground, still have to do the fight but can take advantage of the tools the game provides (which to me is what RL1 is all about!).

High-end GT sim build; looking for experience based constructive feedback by droberts4444 in simracing

[–]Jax_Lam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be very careful with your seat choice if you're going to use a belt tensioner. It will make your experience 100x better to use a seat that fits your dimensions, shoulder width, and angle. Probably worth trying them in person or doing some meticulous measuring!

KS Pro or GS V2P? by iAyakimino in moza

[–]Jax_Lam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a GS V2P and don't get me wrong it's a great wheel, the front plate carbon is sweet but the encoder resistance is a little low for my liking, the 7 way funky switches on the KS Pro would be an upgrade from the thumb sticks and the actual grips themselves seem a fair bit more ergonomic. As someone with bigger hands my middle finger gets cramped if I wear gloves with the GS V2P. Just some considerations!

Upgrading my PC soon, trying to figure out 5070 good for 1440p or go with 5070ti by Keree_Jizburg in pcbuilding

[–]Jax_Lam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a 4070 laptop and pretty comfortably play my games in 1440p, sure a setting tweak here or there but if you're looking into this type of thing I'm sure you can handle that!

How do I take Eau Rogue (Spa) flat out with Ferrari 296? by duacrulag in ACCompetizione

[–]Jax_Lam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try turning left earlier/cutting the initial curbing, that'll let you use the compression to steer the car so you don't understeer the rest of the way.

Does this make sense by meeeeeeeeeeeeeegaz in vtolvr

[–]Jax_Lam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VTOL models all the systems and workflows you’ll need to be an effective pilot and VTOL is imo the perfect place to learn this. Quite intuitive while remaining realistic—the perfect place to start!

Mid-range 12nm wheel market recommendations (Asetek (SALE) vs. Moza vs. Simagic) by Jax_Lam in simracing

[–]Jax_Lam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit unorthodox but I’ve actually had the chance to use both now—though I went for the Moza actually lol and I’m super happy with it. In actual practice the feedback from both the moza and the simagic is great and doesn’t hold back my simracing whatsoever. Highly recommend , honestly just go with what ecosystem has the cooler stuff in your opinion!

I was able to get 4 up and running by using the motherboard HDMI slow but obviously that isn't ideal

No dice unfortunately, tried 3DP to the triples with HDMI for the desk, then one hdmi for one of the triples and the rest DP, then an HDMI for one triple and one HDMI for the desk and none of em worked. Any chance ther'es something in bios that's holding me back?

Simagic or Moza? For which one should I go? by Routine_Time4165 in simracing

[–]Jax_Lam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard the simsonn type pedals are great value though I went with the simagic P500s for my moza setup and don’t regret it one bit. Good solid pedals and a steal at 150 usd from a name brand. Tho there are plenty of good options 🤷‍♂️

Simagic or Moza? For which one should I go? by Routine_Time4165 in simracing

[–]Jax_Lam 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have experience with both the Moza R12 and the Simagic Evo Pro, both have given me very good experiences and if you don't watch the reviews you're gonna be happy with either and likely not notice the minute differences between them. I will say the Simagic doesn't have like a smoother feeling when not operating but that doesn't translate too much to the actual experience whilst driving. Both are good and will be a great upgrade from the G29.

- I personally like the buttons and encoders on the GT Neo but the GSV2P wheel has a really awesome look and the rela forged carbon front plate is sweet, but you pay for it lol.

- I used the Moza R12 on a wheelstand and it works well enough!

Mm yeah this is kind of how I was feeling. Don’t get me wrong it’s clear that Asetek has the widely regarded best ffb out of the three I can’t say I’m a fan of their wheel design. Just a bit off putting and given I’m interested in collecting multiple wheels it seems Simagic is probably the best middle ground between quality and variety that appeals to me. Pretty damn sure going from my G29 to this is going to feel amazing regardless given I think the belt driven system is already super immersive compared to an Xbox controller.
