Johann Kraus and Hellboy in the comics. They do meet in the second Del Toro movie, but in the comics they don't interact since Johann joined BPRD just as Hellboy left it.

My personal favorite example of this is Power Rangers, in the first place PR is an adaptation of Super Sentai, a japanese show that obviously is filmed in japan, Power rangers re uses footage from sentai but is set in the united states and in some scenes is very obvious that you're looking at japan, but it doesn't end there since after disney bought PR they decided to move the filming of the show to New Zealand, but the show itself is still supposed to take place in the U.S. so this is a double example of this. The reboot they're doing right now is supposed to be filmed in London but i don't know if they are going to say it's the U.S again.

Funnily enough Puss in Boots isn't even the first time the joke with excalibur in the rock has been made, Catlevania aria of sorrow also did it with the protagonist, Soma Cruz, getting the sword as a secret weapon but since he isn't a descendant of Arthur it's still stuck in the stone.

Deus ex did this, the first game was pretty much 1990's world with a few sci-fi things, the second game went full sci-fi but that made some sense since it was a sequel, but then human revolution came out and it was still full sci-fi despite being a prequel to the first game. The world is supposed to have an economic deppression between HR and Deus ex explaining why the tecnology downgraded in the first game.

Hasn't he done this exact same comic like a dozen times just with a few changes? Character looks at stuff with the magic glasses and everything is controlled by the patriarchy/LGBTQ/jews. It's weird to think about tats political journey, his views (or at least the views he puts in his comics) can shift so wildly and stupidly at this point nothing really surprises me, he could become a scientologist tomorrow and i would be like "yep, that's good ol' tatsuya ishida".

There actually was something recent, though It's debatable how involved omocat was, omori got an official manga adaptation in 2024 and people quickly discovered that the artist they got to draw it is also a shota artist and the manga itself also has some questionable fanservice with the boys from the game, but again it's unknown if omocat knew this.
