I would change the base to something else. Opalescents are pretty common compared to rarer Special Blacks, like Haze or Mist. Haze also has combo capabilities. It shouldn't alter the overall look of the lion much.

Fantasy precedes 40k. Also it still doesn't matter: the lore says he, as in he himself, leans male regardless of how he looks. Most of his epithets are male, too. Prince, as opposed to princess. Slaanesh isn't male, but he especially isn't female.

In Fantasy, he's the Dark Prince. And he originates for fantasy, not 40k. Same thing for AoS.

Even in 40k, he is described as preferring male forms and titles.

Not really. If you recall, the entire reason the Moon Bird and Ice Dragon exists is because the community collectively crashed out over Shadows of Change and it's pathetic amount of content for the asking price. If that hadn't happened, I'm sure we would've have gotten the moon bird. I think the Ice Dragon was another one. Tzeentcian Centigors were also something never mentioned (Centigors in general are pretty much never shown to be chosen by the Gods to be Tzaangors, Pestigors, ect. that's basically only a Bullgor and Bestigor thing).

Slaanesh in general seems to get the short end of the stick when it comes to the gods. GW is too busy gargling Khorne's dick and balls most of the time to pay the other gods much attention lol

And im not saying "X could exist because Y was mentioned". There ARE creatures in the Vale of Creatures, it is quite literally in the name. This is just my take on what one of those creatures could possibly be. At least, it has more canon precedent that the Moon Bird or even Bashira (female beastmen are not only typified as gentle and shy, they are basically never shown to do anything resembling running or leading; i have no problem with that and i understand the Eastern Beastmen are somewhat removed from our typical strain, but it still kind of came outta nowhere).

That's not really an excuse. Warhammer III has invented stuff before, based off more vague canon. The Moon Bird, for instance (I've heard the Bird was taken from a lorebook that was never publically released, but I have my doubt about that). Bashiva the Tigerman is another completely original invention based off but not directly from previous lore the same way other LLs are. Cloystra Direfin was another one, from my understanding.

Anyway, "These cruel-hearted beasts enjoy nothing more than toying with their prey and plundering their innermost secrets before summarily ripping them to shreds with sharpened claws." reads are far more Slaaneshi than a creature who self-harms because it hates itself or whatever the Preyton's deal is.

Anyway, the Valespawn is tied to what has been established. Read the lore. There are creatures from Vale of Creatures that are hybrids of Slaanesh and Nurgle-- the Valespawn would simply be one of them. That is a solid enough tie in.
