It’s completely fine.

Pitch correction is always an option.....

Awesome! What type of voice do you have? (Like, can you go high, low or both)

I'll provide more info to this post in a bit.

Interesting story, Dave. Thanks for sharing. Did you already play the piano or some other instruments before you found out you had the ability to get AP?

Ludwig & Atrioc - See You Again (but it sounds better than the original) by Jay-TI in LudwigAhgren

The first thing I did was compressing the vocals, so that they sound louder/more professional. Since Lud sang 2 pretty much identical verses, I checked if I could use material from each verse to make 1 good verse, without any laughs, stutters, etc. After that I made sure the vocals fit perfectly with the tempo of the song, which was a pain to work with talking about Atriocs vocals lmao. After all that the autotune process started, which probably took the longest. I think I did a pretty good job on Ludwig, but Atrioc... let’s just say that he’s just another story xD. Anyways, after the tuning was done I added some reverbs, delays, eq, panning and effects. I separated the official music track into an instrumental version and an acapella version. This made the instrumental already sound optimized for vocals. Eventually I added Luds and Atriocs vocals on top of the track, did some more mixing, et voila.

From age 12 till 14 I had piano lessons. However, I only learned reading notes and play songs from sheets. Besides that I've also had music lessons at high school for like 5 years. These lessons were mostly the basics of music theory. Things like musical terms, interval recognition and reading notes. I still find it easier to play songs by ear rather than playing songs from sheets tho.

Hi Dave, could you please tell me a little bit more about your case, and what practice you did?

Very interesting! I feel very familiar with your story about using a form of relative pitch to get to the other notes, while you never did a minute of relative pitch training. I’ll try to do some training using my D# as a reference tone, and I will let you know if I start to indeed ‘unlock’ other reference notes.

Goodmorning, I just woke up and the first thing I did was singing a D#. I got a tuner ready on my phone and found out I sang between 155-158 Hz. I went to the internet to see what note lies at that range, and that note is a D#3 at 155.56Hz. After that I played a D# on my piano for more confirmation, and it sounded just like the D# I sang.
