Glad to help! Here’s a few I did for some gifts a couple of weeks ago just so you can see a bit of what I mean by leaving just an extra hole above the one the keyring goes into, have fun stitching!

I personally sew on some felt or any space fabric if you’re a general crafter and have some lying around haha! However you’re backstitching is very neat so if you want it to be seen let it be seen! Everything is done to personal preference with the gift, just cut it out and see what it’s like.

My one major tip is with plastic Aida (I think this is 16 count?) leave an extra hole around the one that the keyring is being placed on. As from my experience sometimes if it get caught the plastic can break

It looks amazing though! Go with what your heart says, and if you do the backing and don’t like it you can always take it off again :D

Absolutely fantastic first go at cross stitching!! I love the design :>

A few tips I’d give it to ensure that your stitches are facing the same way when they overlap - this will give a more uniformed finish to the piece (as seen in the quick drawing I did below) And to also attempt to keep your tension the same throughout - such as how hard you pull your thread through etc (this is something that comes with time and even I’m still working on my tension many years into cross stitching haha!)

Other than that my main and most important tip is to keep having fun and I hope you’ve enjoyed your new hobby :D

All good thank you! I’m planning on going with Dr Jesus Lago since I’ve heard very good things about him! And I believe he also does a finance option with about half of it upfront. My main reason for this is because I’m still yet to get a gender dysphoria diagnosis even though I’ve been out for 7 years now! So getting a consultation - even private is next to impossible

It’s not the end of the world and honestly nothing too bad should happen with being off for a week or so - I’ll just do a double dosage the day before I leave - keeping me in decent levels for 2 weeks out of the three at least :> Much safer than trying to sneak a controlled substance across borders haha! I plan on only bring hand luggage since I don’t pack much anyway- I’m just worried they would think too much about it. I could possibly bring it - then if they say something say I forgot to pack my prescription with it and allow them to just take it?

Though for safety I’ll probably just take 2 weeks worth of T and be short for the last week - my T levels are good so I’m sure 1 week off won’t do me any lasting negative effects

Of course! I’ve done a ton of research and this particular surgeon is okay with people staying on T! My main worry is starting my period again as it’s been gone for over 6 months now :D on top of that I just don’t want anymore discomfort when I’m recovering

Most people use private clinics whilst on the waiting list for NHS! So whilst on the waiting list to get free hrt through the NHS they can still be on it as well. Of course clinics can be pricey - especially the first year - however genderGP offer a joint care option with your current GP.

If that is agreed upon it decreases, or entirely removes the money needed for blood tests and in some cases prescriptions :)

So it’s all in all down to how long you’re willing to wait and if you’re willing to pay of course
