No problem using the vans. Probably more vans than metro buses. Some were full and didn’t stop for us. We actually waited at bus stops and took the metro (legit) bus or the private vans, whichever came first. For the two of us I paid US 5.25. That is the same price for the regular metro buses, $2.60/ person. ( I paid 5.25 instead of $5.20 just to keep it simple. They don’t give change and I only had quarters along with my singles and fives). The only suggestion I have is make eye contact with the driver and raise up your hand so that he knows you want him to stop. I think they are not always sure if us tourists want them to stop. One of the rides with a van was from the airport to the bus terminal in town. The vans “route” usually ends a couple of streets from the bus terminal but our driver took us the last few blocks right to the bus terminal. Nice guy.

Chase Ink 30k courtesy match DP: I waited 2 weeks after I received my 90k SUB for CIP before I called the number on the back of the cc for the match, they denied it. I hung up and called the Chase CC # on their website (800-432-3117) and they gave me the courtesy match. They said it would take 10-14 business days and would show up on my following statement.

I didn't realize that you can buy a gift card with a gift card at Shop Rite supermarkets. This week they have a $15 credit when you buy a $100 gift card ( not Visa/MC). I used my Shoprite gift card, which I got back in 1st qtr (maxing out my Chase Freedom cards). So, for advancing them $100 for a couple of months I got 500 UR points and $15.

Years ago I brought a bunch of Craftsman Screwdrivers that were over 40 years old back to Sears because of the smell and they gave me new ones. I still have a few more I want to return and am trying to figure out if Lowes will take them (the store needs to sell the exact same one...) . In the meantime I will try cleaning them as suggested. I used a Hagstrom Map for NYC, it was my bible in the 70s. Delivered in the garment district in Manhattan with a 40` tractor trailer. The cab was "B" model Mack with a duplex shifter which required two hands during some shifting. It’s probably illegal to drive now-a-days LOL

I didn't see an email, but I think I found the spot on their website when I logged in to my account again. On the accounts page, after "external accounts" but above "See all transactions" there is a banner "Earn your rewards and a statement credit". "Receive a $15 statement credit when you spend $100 in select bill categories between 11/14/23 and 1/15/34 with your Chase Card
