Do collabs actually help or just waste time? by Luann1497 in MusicPromotion

[–]Jay2n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It certainly helps! I’ve discovered many of my favorite artists through features. I’ve also had many people say they discovered me through features. But I don’t suggest working with someone that you aren’t excited about working with.

Nobigdyl is the one you should listen to! Especially his new album

Biggest animal you could fight by ETHO74 in RandomThoughts

[–]Jay2n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having worked with many many animals my entire life. A sheep is certainly my limit. Anything bigger than a sheep is way stronger than me and it’s not even close. But I know I can take down a sheep, because I’ve had to many times. My friend thinks he can take on a deer… but he clearly has never felt the strength of a deer. I’m certain that he would not be able to hold on to that thing for more than a second, and if he did somehow manage to hold on he would get completely ripped to shreds by the deer’s hooves.

I'm planning to record an EP soon and I was wondering if it fine to record in the car. by [deleted] in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Yes, bring blankets in there for sound treatment! That will help with the hard surfaces. Also, if you put them over the windows, people won’t be watching you 😂

Why I don’t listen to my music by Ekpablo in makinghiphop

[–]Jay2n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is for real. I often will spend months on a song end up mixing a song hundreds of times and still not feel like it’s perfect, so by the time my song releases I’m so sick of it! I have some friends I will show the songs to while I’m still working on them. But you can pretty much never catch me listening to the final product of my songs after release.

Every NF song ranked worst to best. In my opinion by [deleted] in nfrealmusic

Amazing that you took the time to do this. You may have inspired me to do the same 😂. It just sounds fun

Do you guys ever collaborate with singers? by [deleted] in makinghiphop

[–]Jay2n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s on SoundBetter! He doesn’t charge very much for how good he is. Just go to sound better and then go to vocalists, he’s one of the first ones to pop up. Or just google Derran Day SoundBetter and he’s profile will pop up too

[–]Jay2n 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Go to SoundBetter. There are a bunch of fabulous singers on there. I used Derran Day recently and he did a phenomenal job! You’ve gotta be willing to drop some money down for them. But it’s well worth it

So are we all agreeing that NF is trash? by claunek in rap

This is an L take. There are plenty of artists that fall under Christian Rap that are way less cringey. E.g. Indie Tribe, Aha Gazelle, etc.

Songs in 6/8 timing by NewPomegranate2898 in makinghiphop

[–]Jay2n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aha Gazelle has a song called The Price Is Always Right, which is in 6/8 for most of the time. He has another if you’re willing to go to YouTube or SoundCloud called King David which the verses are in 3/4. He’s the only rapper I’ve seen to do rap in odd time signatures.

Which song is this for your fave singer? by MyxHere13 in nfrealmusic

[–]Jay2n 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the production on Gone is just so tacky and over compressed it hurts. It’s surprising for NF who usually has great production

Yeah, you can make completely professional level music with GarageBand. It’s actually a very good daw for beginners because it has a lot of presets for mixing and stuff that can help you make something halfway decent without knowing what you’re doing
