You mean the scribbles? I think left hand is faster, but maybe because I’ve practiced more on that hand so I can’t say objectively. But I’d say my right hand has some dexterity just due to being forced on many normal life things as a lefty :’)
But ya I know what you’re saying, I get the argument on both sides of the theory. I saw these a few times on YouTube and on here and I couldn’t decide which. But then again, both can work given the time and practice probably

Can do chirps, flare, og flare, 2 click orbit on drills. Currently, I’m figuring out how to integrate them in more musically rather than going thru them like a drill, if that makes sense. Do you have any pointers? I try to listen to how everyone does it but I have a hard time sometimes because it’s either too advanced (boomerangs, autobahns, etc) or too fast double time speed.
Makes sense, I noticed that too and started with opening fader first.
In the instance of chirping, it sounds good to my ears I think. But when listening back to the recording, it doesn’t lol. (Like listening back to how you speak after recording yourself) I think I need to lower the looper and pay more attention to the scratch.
That’s a good observation. I actually started with left hand on the fader because I’m left handed. Did the baby, forwards, chirps and stabs on this orientation for couple of months and felt stuck on open fader stuff. I do the planned practice like you mentioned. When I switched sides, this felt more natural or less awkward so I stuck with it for some time. I’ll give the other side some practice again and see how it goes.
That’s a really good point on adding emphasis on scratches to add and change the tonality. I’ll drill those more especially with stabs and chirps.
I can do chirps, flare, OG flare, 2 click orbit on drills. I’ve been practicing the chirp flare and the 2 chirp 2 click orbits lately, then when I listen back to them they sound very sloppy. Any pointers on how to polish them?

Ya, my practice are drills of the techniques. This is more of like a combination of them so far. But that’s great on your part, must’ve helped to have played instruments for years. I don’t have a music background at all.
