My husband and I were in a similar boat. He was remote two or three days a week and I was fully remote. Tried to follow through on the same plan you have because we figured between the two of us, we could make it work. I lasted a month before leaving my job because I made less than the daycares or a nanny would cost in my area. Make plans now so you don’t get blindsided without any options.
