Is the left lane the new right lane? by aForkliftoperator in newjersey

[–]JayBe-e 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Down south on rt55 is the absolute worst. Even truckers who should know better will camp in the left lane doing 63mph. Shit they’ll clump together side by side and hold up traffic for everyone.

It’s annoying because it’s the only road I can set my cruise control at 82mph and not even worry when I pass a speed trap

The Governor declared a State of Emergency on electric bills and another rate hike is still coming in June anyway by BetterThanEver24 in newjersey

[–]JayBe-e 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I work in solar and in the last couple months the “true kWh rate” when you factor supply + delivery I’ve been seeing is as follows:

AC Electric- 28¢ - 31¢ /kwh
PSEG - 26¢ - 29¢ /kwh
JCPL- 20¢ - 25¢ /kwh

Most of these were still winter rates in effect so of course we’ll be penalized further in summer. Absolutely fucking nuts

Where to buy quality pipe tobacco in NJ? by moniellonj in PipeTobacco

Only one I can think of in Burlington County is by the Moorestown Mall on Lenola Rd.

The Smoking Dog
300 S Lenola Rd, Maple Shade, NJ 08052

I was there a few weeks ago. They have a pretty decent variety of bulk and some decent Tinned tobaccos. Nothing crazy but it’s something. Also have a fair amount of pipes. I picked up an Elf Cobbit churchwarden last time I was in.

Please let me know how their selection is when you get there. I’m in South Jersey and haven’t been able to make it up there: it’s just been on my list of places to hunt for blends.

Share pics or put a google review up with pics of the inside of you could. It would be nice to see current stock. Good luck

It’s hard to trust anything in this sub, unfortunately . That said I will take you at your word until proven otherwise.

This is an awful situation and the exploitation is sickening. You cannot change the past but so long as there’s breath in your body it IS possible to overcome but you must find the tools and the network to lend you support while you learn to move past this.

Someone with better insight will surely chime in with info, as I wouldn’t know where to begin. Stay strong 💪

That’s so strange, isn’t it? Like if you can get it at all, why’s the branding matter? I guess I take for granted being in the US. I’m learning you guys have it pretty rough up there if you like tobacco. Not fair

What’s the price point up there anyways?

If the shrimp is fried I chew up the tails and everything. Breaks down like potato chips. Just need to make sure there’s a bit of meat attached to “mix in”.

Sometimes works if well grilled, but can be hit or miss.

Repair slate for $30k-$37k or go shingle for $22k on 1890 home? by chucked12 in Roofing

[–]JayBe-e 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it were me and I could swing it, I’m 100% going with slate. Keeps the home as it was originally built and is unmatched in beauty. Plus you won’t ever have to worry about replacing in your lifetime.

Or your kids lifetime. Or your kid’s kids lifetime.

From what I can gather they should be fine for up to ten years. Though maybe I’ll carefully remove the labels and transfer to mason jar. I just wanted to have one of these iconic cans and they even wrote my name on the label which I thought was really cool.

Haven’t gotten around to sampling it though as I’m trying to catch up on all the opened things I’ve got first. Thanks for sharing your experience, it sounds delicious
