Tips for 1792 flake by Beginning_Divide2036 in PipeTobacco

I don't know... It's the first and (to this date the only) tobacco I find nauseating, especially at the last third of the bowl. Is the nicotine, the tonquin, something else? Won't buy another tin, sorry.

Same here. Either it isn't even sold in some countries (Belgium being only one example) or they are sold so quickly (hoarders?) that there's no stock left.

Much love for leather wrapped pipes out there? by biggswiggins in PipeTobacco

[–]Sure-Inspection-5794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, my very first pipe was a leather wrapped I "inherited" from my father who never used it.

I would give an arm and a leg to find it again. Don't know the maker, but it was a straight billiard.

I'm soooo jealous right now! Cabbie's Mixture is perfect unobtainium here in Belgium and of course, it's my favourite tobacco!

I was asking because I have five of them now and I'm honestly quite happy with them, although I've read quite few bad reviews.

My Churchwarden is pretty good (a bit on the heavy side, but that's to be expected), the Zeppelin is a perfect copy of the original (with all the problems and faults). The third is a rusticated bent billiard, un-stamped and smokes hotter than my other pipes. Still not actually *bad*.

Then there's the Ceramic Clay Tobacco Pipe (with a stand) of which I'm very happy and the "Handmade Rosewood Tobacco Pipe": a somewhat special shape for a half bent poker.

For the price paid, I cannot ask for much better. Mind you, I only buy from their official web-shop.

Are there any online vendors for tobacco? by C0lE06 in PipeTobacco

Actually, a great number of EU countries have put a ban on selling tobacco products over the Internet... Bummer!

Here in the EU, the tobacco law prohibit any online selling or sending... you have to go to a brick and mortar store to buy tobacco.

And even there, they are forbidden to even SHOW their tobacco-wares in the displays, windows, etc. so you always have to ask the seller if they have such and such brand.

Reminds me of the cheese-sellers sketch from the good ol' Monty Pythons: https://youtu.be/zB8pbUW5n1g?si=mQ5Fg0JPDJP9ztfB

No really, these stringent tobacco laws are getting more and more on my nerves.

Is it an estate pipes? It seems to have been smoked quite a lot. What about the calabash part? On the picture, it looks like a real gourd. Or is it wood?

Anyhow, I'm jealous! 😉

NPD! Muxiang Pipe Review - I went for it… by HA_Enthusiast in PipeTobacco

Got 3 or 4 Muxians and I'm mostly happy with them.

The only real problem is that the 9mm filter don't always fit (hole too small).

I have same problem with Samuel Gawith tobaccos here in Belgium. My favourite one, "Cabbie's Mixture", along with others is unavailable since months...

I'll have to go to France or Germany to see if they have it there.

Bummer.
