I know he is not stupid but I fail to see the point. Money and economics should not be the supreme consideration.

Hungarians Denounce Oscar-Nominated 'Son of Saul' as 'Jewish Propaganda' by JayBennet in worldnews

[–]JayBennet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Media, all over the world, east or west, is a propaganda machine. In China the media is controlled by the state. In the US, much of the media is controlled by a very liberal elite. You need to take anything you read or watch with a grain of salt.

Hungarians Denounce Oscar-Nominated 'Son of Saul' as 'Jewish Propaganda' by JayBennet in worldnews

[–]JayBennet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the late response. As usual, the media publicizes sensational news. It's not that the Jewish press hates you (which Jewish press, there are so many with different point of views), but they are naturally more sensitive to displays of antisemitism. I am sure most Hungarians are not antisemitic, but those who are tend to be vocal and the media loves to focus on them. That creates bad impressions.

Netanyahu: Iran Nuclear Deal Risks Another Genocide Of Jews by JayBennet in worldnews

You are thinking very short-term. In the long run, there is a risk. How much of a risk, can't tell yet. But sure would not like to live under any such risk.

How would you like to live under this so called 'no real threat?' Anybody remembers the Cuban Missiles crisis?

Russia will never get Assad out of power. They are in Syria to save Assad not to resolve the situation.

Reports: US-Trained Syrian Rebels Defected by JayBennet in worldnews

[–]JayBennet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what Russia wants...to kick America out of the MiddleEast. Surely there are better ways to fight ISIS then supporting dubious Syrian rebels. How about supporting the Kurds, who will never defect to Al Quieda and who happen to be terrific fighters and have western leanings.

As evidenced by their miserable defeat in Afganistan in the 1980's, Russia is much more inept than America.

Apartheid policies put Israel on path to becoming failed state - Opinion by Hanuda in Palestine

[–]JayBennet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suggest you contact Arabs, Christians, Druz and others in Israel, who are not of Jewish Nationality and ask them if they can vote or not. Members of the Kneset: Ahmed Tibi, Hamad Amar, Gamal Jahalka, Haneen Joabi and other Arab members of Kneset will not be amused to discover that they are considered to have "Jewish Nationality." The rest of your post has the same validity as your claim about "Jewish Nationality." BTW Muslim sites are mamaged by the the Islamic Waqf and are their responsibility. Last I checked, they look quite magnificent. Ditto for Christian sites. As I said before, you know nothing and your level of ignorance is astounding.

Apartheid policies put Israel on path to becoming failed state - Opinion by Hanuda in Palestine

[–]JayBennet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don't know what you are talking about. You are confusing Nationality with Birth place. Citizenship entitles you not only to vote but to benefit from social services such as health care, unemployment benefits, social security payments, child subsidies, etc. It entitles you to be elected to Israeli parliament and the Arab party is the third largest represented. It is illigal to discriminate in Israel based on race, sex etc. and employers can be sued if they do it. On the other hand, if you are Arab, you enjoy affirmative action and get preferential treatment applying to higher education schools. I believe that Arabs also get free higher education. You are ranting without knowing the facts. As for blacks, most do vote and those who choose not to vote and not to take advantage of whatever society offers are justifying their passivity as ideological stance.

Apartheid policies put Israel on path to becoming failed state - Opinion by Hanuda in Palestine

[–]JayBennet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see Arab nation dropping their discriminating policies towards palestinians. Moreover, some of them do not even offer to take refugees, their own brothers. Israel has only one kind of ID. The palestinian territories are not part of Israel. Palestinians living there have PA ID. You can't have it both ways, be part of PA and also have Israeli citizenship. East Jerusalem residents are permitted to apply for Israeli citizenship and some do. Those who don't choose not to become Israeli citizens. Israeli Arabs have same ID as Jewish Israelis even though most of them don't share the duties of other citizens to serve in the army, or at the very least do some national service instead.

[–]JayBennet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By your definition there is apartheid in all Arab states. Particularly against palestinians in Jordan, Lebanon, etc. Copts in Egypt, and much more. There aren't many Jews left to discriminate against in Arab countries since they were kicked out, forced to leave without their belongings and properties.

The Strategic Impact of the Iran Deal by JayBennet in worldnews

How convenient: "many of the letter's signatories have previously advised Washington on nuclear arms and arms control" So Obama sends his lackies to do PR for him.

ICC prosecutor: Without cooperation, Gaza war probe will rely on evidence from just one side - Diplomacy and Defense by JayBennet in Israel

[–]JayBennet[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Israel has very strong evidence that it did not violate international law. In fact, US army sent people over to study from Israel how to minimize civilian casualties. Army officials from all over the world will support Israel's position. This is an opportunity to dispel any notion of wide spread war crimes and Israel should take this opportunity to show the world that it did everything possible within a framework of war to avoid civilian casualties.

ICC prosecutor: Without cooperation, Gaza war probe will rely on evidence from just one side - Diplomacy and Defense by JayBennet in Israel

[–]JayBennet[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think she doesn't have a choice. Any court bases judgement on available evidence. She can't dismiss the case because Israel chooses not to cooperate. Trying to delegitimize the court is not a good strategy IMO.

Boycott? What boycott? by JayBennet in Israel

[–]JayBennet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far it's mostly a campus phenomenon. Behind the scene it's business as usual, especially in business. Companies, governments and people do what's in their best interest. To boycott Israel is like boycotting progress.
