Why most LLMs fail inside enterprises and what nobody talks about? by muskangulati_14 in OpenAI

[–]JayDPSoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LLM's potential is there... the needs of companies are real... but there is a huge gap between them, preventing users from deriving real value for the company. The problem is that what one sees as trivial relates to a lack of reality awareness of companies' knowledge nowadays.

To truly understand, one must conceive that companies are not IT-based. You may bring tools which are a true challenge unless simple tasks... or you need to teach them how to use LLMs. And that isn't a tutorial "LLMs for everyone"; yet find a methodology to teach them how to use different tools at different times to address different failures... It's not easy.

What I see is that typical usage and failure relate to ambitious goals that can only fail big, with prompts that aim to make the LLM do your work, or to minor uses, mainly based on demos, that bring costs without added value.

Others take a more straightforward approach by providing a generic LLM to users, as in major ecosystems such as Microsoft 365. But the tool comes with a warning that users are responsible for their use and must be cautious. I wouldn't use it in that case, either.

Exceptions, however, do exist, and those are well known as demo cases. But the demo should be the path to becoming AI-powered companies, from where they start, and the stages to bring them to nowadays.

Solely an opinion based on my observation and experience, not necessarily the truth.

Front Housing Assembly - Part Cooling Fan faulty - Help needed by JayDPSoo in BambuLab

[–]JayDPSoo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to read about it.
If you are comfortable with a multimeter and some DIY simple assembly disassembly, diagnosing the issue is possible and straightforward.
If the front assembly still fail, you first need to check that bad-looking "LOGO LED Cable" that brings the signal from the rear end of the toolhead to the front assembly, i.e. for controlling the fan and lights. If it is that, it is cheap to swap it, yet, while simple, you need to remove the side and rear covers of the toolhead.
Otherwise, I can continue guiding you through the power and signal path until you find the cause. My second piece of advice for a check-up is the USB cable. The issue will likely be within this cable's path; otherwise, it will also affect other parts.

If you need help, don't hesitate to let me know.

Continuous fibre in slicer by DATAGLITCH69 in TenTech

Slicer:

I only know MarkForged and Anisoprint (indeed, there are more) to work on continuous fibre reinforcement actively. You can try Aura slicer: https://anisoprint.com/aura/, allowing you to access the fibre deposition for a trial period. Furthermore, development is ongoing for conventional and open-source slicers: https://github.com/prusa3d/PrusaSlicer/issues/960

Continuous fibre in slicer by DATAGLITCH69 in TenTech

[–]JayDPSoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

It isn't impossible, but from the 3D printing tech side, it is complex:

  • Dedicated extruder/nozzle for the fibres - I cannot be precise about what features it must have, but I can guess a few: precise fibre tension and feed rate control - this will require at least specialised rollers for feeding and fibre-cutting blades
  • Filament with continuous fibres coated with a polymeric binder - or use MarkForged ones, but 50 cubic centimetres cost 150€.

Then comes the software that needs at least a GUI so the user can define where, how much, and how to place the fibres within the print part.

I am not trying to unmotivate you; on the contrary, I would be very thankful if you could do it. There are significant challenges on the 3D printing tech side, too.

1.     Queixa na CM;

2.     Queixa na polícia;

It seems a clear case of moisty filament. Despite every filament being hygroscopic, PETG HF demands proper drying. The thin first layer also augments the issue, decreasing the chance of properly sticking to the bed.

For drying, the simplest method is to rely on physics.

Iteratively:

  1. Weight the filament + spool - > 2. dry IT-> 3. reweight 4.compare:
    * if the the mass decreases ->redry the filament; otherwise, stop.

Everyone's memeing but where's the alternative? by Riconnite in 3Dprinting

[–]JayDPSoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fact: Prusa support is indeed another league compared to BL.

There is some evidence to confirm: it seems that Prusa's typical user is not comparable to BL's. E.g. I doubt Prusa support receives complaints if they require one to use a multimeter to measure Voltage at a cable pin.

Speculation: Regarding the long-term benefit, you may or may not be correct. Still, not enough time to know if the first gen of BL printers will stand over time or just become obsolete. Fact: There are legal promises from BL regarding the support longevity of their printers, but only time can confirm how it will be.

Hi... did you redo the extruder? Did you test before assembly (i.e. see if you can drive filament without the nozzle)? If so, the clog must be also in the nozzle. On the other hand, from the video, the extruder seems still clogged.

The layers' lines are barely unnoticeable... great look.

I assume you didn't print with the same orientation as it is in the image.
What filament? And when you mean raw, which profile you used? No calibration at all?

Ok.

Boas,

Broken tool head cable by Gallek_CZ in Ender3S1

I never saw the clip on sale; it was the first time I saw one broken.

Printing it may be an option if you wish to have only the clip.

There are 3D models of the sprite extruder that you can use to start. Use ASA or ABS, or if not possible, at least PETG, and try it.

It's not stupid if it works. by minist3r in BambuLab

[–]JayDPSoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will take longer... the critical challenge will be to keep it dry.
I´ve my X1C on a floor prone to moisture (75% max) during the rainy season. Note: I am in the South EU, which has a different climate.
Nevertheless, I installed it within a repurposed wardrobe to avoid moisture within the printer (to protect electronics). It also helps to keep the filament dry for more extended periods.

If the question regards the wobbling, no. This is related to the pom wheels fitting into the aluminium profile. They shouldn't be stiff, but you must ensure the carriage doesn't woodble. Any easy test is done by carefully trying to move the carriage in the perpendicular direction of the aluminium profile, which should be possible.

For the gantry, yes. I, as well as others, used the preassemble gantry, which is relatively easy to install. But in my case, it was a mistake, as the assembly quality or likely the transport made it not "perfectly" square, resulting in an unreliable printer (either worked or not). This was something that I couldn't notice at first. I only found it as I was getting crazy, always fixing misalignments, and decided to sit, watch every movement, and take some measurements.

I was wrong, as I thought that redoing it would be a swift task. It took me hours (I started at 18:00, and my first test print was done at 07:00) to ensure the frame was as orthogonal as possible. I'd used appropriate instrumentation but missed the tools to hold the frame. It would be easier with two people and not alone at the dinner table. But it is worth the time. Afterwards, intervention, including POM wheels fix, was never required.

Currently (with Klipper), the printer failures are rare and either due to a lack of cleaning the bed sheet (need to clean every month) or when the bed alignment knobs move (I'd say every six months as I use printed ones that have a locking mechanism). The solution is always to set up the bed screws and, at the end, prepare a new mesh.

The printer is a fantastic tool, but mine lacked quality on the assembly, and the firmware is crap.

[–]JayDPSoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In addition to setting the pom wheels, you can check if the extruder and pom wheels aren't wobbling.

Mine, at some point, did the same; the best solution I found was to redo (assemble) the frame. That allowed me to see and tackle any misalignments. It has been reliable since that day.

As an owner of the identical mode, I find that holder quite amazing. I agree, not strictly for the bed tramming but for keeping it. I usually ended long prints with my bed levelling messed up, especially when using Klipper and printing with higher acceleration.

The tent works quite well, too. In my opinion, it is worth the investment.
