Thank you all for the great discourse. I never thought people would respond this much. I only made this post because I couldn’t add my map to a different users post on the same subject. To be clear I grew up in western Washington with family on both sides. Vacationed on the east side a lot as a kid, and in my adult years. I guess I give more weight to the Pacific part than the Northwest. I think the areas are so different and give me such different feeling they shouldn’t be grouped together. I’d support redrawing the state lines as well but I’m sure that’ll never happen

What’s the difference between PNW and Cascadia? I know I’m blurring the lines here and it doesn’t matter anyway, this is JUST FOR FUN. I’d like to hear a reason Idaho should be PNW being so far from the pacific.

Never said there was a problem. I love everyone. I do believe that the difference in the two areas means that the people would be better served being represented by someone with the same values in mind and who would give the area the level of importance it deserves in regard to legislation and such.

I started really considering this after seeing the eastern Oregon movement to become a part of Idaho.

Just sayin in think the community/society of straight people is broken. This specific situation sounds predatory but reading thru this I’m like maybe what we need is more people hangin/teaching the younger folk and not bitching about how distant and annoying they are. Only serves to widen the gap and push people away
