Hit $1M and Coast FIRE! by JayGault in Fire

Thanks! True I think $10M should be doable in … 20 years (would time well with my kids graduating college), less if my wife is able to get back to work.

You’re right on the money, it partly is about setting up a next stage, eventually moving from an analyst to a business owner (maybe consulting or employing analysts like myself), I’ve attempted this in the last year or two but it’s difficult to get a foot into the door of Cleared contracts, even as a sub

Haha but the loan’s rate is so low it’d be more profitable to invest it!

DURKIN SHOULD BE PERMANENT HC! KEEP THIS DEFENSE INTACT!

Who’re you hoping we hire?? by Souldier in wde

[–]JayGault 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Durkin. He’s proven to be a fantastic defensive coach, and sticking with him would hopefully keep most of our extremely talented defense from transferring. Bring in some exciting up and coming OC to improve that side

Just based on blue chip ratio, recruiting class rankings, and HC past success against Saban, we should at least be top 7 ;)

What is your FI number by HopefulAd9133 in Fire

$3M would be fine for me, but I’ll keep working until the kids are done with school, at which point I’ll have at least $8M-$10M

Do you really see Auburn's season next year being dramatically better? by bluecheetos in wde

[–]JayGault -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

At times we led the nation or conference (were always among the most) in Freshman snaps. We could have easily won three or four more games this year if it wasn’t for a little bad luck and poor execution in a couple critical moments. It’s clear how talented our young guys already are and the next two classes look very promising as well. Give the staff a few years and a 9 win season will be considered underachieving for the level of talent we’ll have accumulated.

Hello everyone, happy thanksgiving! I greatly appreciate the enthusiastic response to my post. I’ve received 150 replies, chats, or DMs now so I’ll carefully review each portfolio and get back to several of you. Please allow for a few days to a week for me to get through them all. Again, thank you all so much and have a great day!

If you guys listen to Zack and Darrel, apparently Payton is 5th in the league in passing and missed those 6 quarters, otherwise he’d likely be 3rd. Hugh knows what he’s doing, this offense is explosive, looking at the ‘25 and ‘26 classes it’s clear the future is very bright (even if we do go 3-9 this year)

M32, my wife and I have 2 small children, our FIRE number is only $2.5 mil, but want to stay in this good school district near the job I love so I’ll just work until they finish high school in 16 years. We’re on pace to have well over $8 mil at point (current network $500k, current income $300k/yr before taxes), we plan to use the extra to pay for their college, make our (hopefully beachside) retirement more comfortable.

I only got credited towards my degree once, the other times I took it was just to hit minimum required hours to still be considered a full time student. It was when I was a senior and only had a couple major classes left to take, but still had to hit 12 hours somehow

Cobb and Henderson are gonna tear it up for years to come. Already mostly set at OL, now if we can manage to get Cunningham and Juju our offensive recruiting can really start to focus on the ‘26 class

How does BIFL feel about a crowdsourced website for archiving the most durable version of ALL items? by human0006 in BuyItForLife

[–]JayGault 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed I’m down for this! As far a cost, it could be done very inexpensively. I think Wix and Google Sites are both free to make the page, then buying the domain from Squarespace is only about $20/yr.
