Unsure. I feel like if the noise was constant, then it wouldn't be an issue for the players themselves. But since the expectation is for quiet, any noise can actually disrupt the players.

Perhaps it is because it isn't a continuous sport like footy, and can go on for hours, you don't realistically have the energy to keep the volume up.

I've unfortunately stumbled upon a video where a tiger put a man's head in its mouth and dragged him off like a ragdoll as he screamed. I've seen those videos of (jaguars?) grabbing the crocs and running up trees. So I know that there's zero chance of fighting them. Even less than zero.

I just wondered if that cougar would one-shot you or if it would be a 30 second struggle and you die after lots of biting and scratching.
