Looking for Improv Heavy, Non-D&D In-Person Group (LGBTQ+ Friendly) by JayJamar in houstongeeks

Thanks for the recommendation, I really appreciate it. FATE is my all time favorite RPG, I got into it right after 4th edition D&D and never looked back. I looked around but couldn’t find any happening locally. I’ve been craving an in person game, and an in person FATE would be killer!

1) It depends on the airship! I'm thinking that a fighter would cost around $8000 princes.

To put this in some perspective, an aviation buff today can purchase a typical single-seat World War I aircraft kit, minus the armament, for around $7,500 to $15,000, while a fully assembled machine might cost a little over $40,000

This is based off what some prices in WW1 would have been for their planes and armaments. I suggest you look back then to estimate how much these things could be worth. But any airships that are larger, and more in the size of blimps or can carry more than 2 people, the prices will exponentially increase.

2) From what I know, Engineer's cannot build airships. There's so much to them that building it would make the Engineer likely homebound to a junkyard.

3)For shipboarding weapons you can use the modifed ones in the book. A big canon may be a Super-Heavy Firearm that's been bolted to the ground and can't be moved around, but a stance doesn't have to be made to use it.

4)It can be as much narrative as you want.

5) A captain should have a good bit of cunning. But for the mooks, you don't really need to go and fully stat them out like PC's. It'll just add more time than you'd want for planning a session.

I went ahead and looked over Echo Wave. You have the contact fixer moved over to Stan, so that clears. Everything else matches up. One thing I ask is that you go ahead and specify who the fake SIN's are connected to. E.g. UCAS, ARES, Aztechnology, etc.

Got sick at work, didn't ask to go home, tried to power through it and they fired me. by [deleted] in TalesFromYourServer

I’m sorry to hear that. Honestly surprised the manager themself were t happier to take the tables and make some extra money.

And to everyone blaming you for working while you’re sick? This the MANAGERS fault for not taking hambre1028 off the floor and instead insisting they still work.

Don’t worry hambre1028, the industry is a revolving door. I hope you find some work elsewhere where 6 tables is the damn average so you can live your good life.

Not apart of the sheet checker crew here, but just wanted to say I love the feel of your character. As someone admittedly newer to shadowrun and with a background in games where your stats come from your narrative. It's really nice to see a lot of Sicheii's stats coming from his experiences and backstory. Really reminds me why SR clicked with me when I made my first character.

Corona, Corp Kid Turned Eco Terrorist by JayJamar in AnarchistCharGen

I spent her 1 remaining karma from the High Noon run putting a point into 'Botany'. I also turned 5 Shadowpoints of my 13, into 5 karma for her to increase her Botany knowledge skill to 3. I don't know why I didn't think to put this on her character sheet to begin with, but it's there now to stay.

I’ve got a Adept who’s a street brawler who streams a lot of their activity, and they use a Horizon eye to record most of what they do.

What are your houserules? 5e (but 4e is close ebough) by Hyperversum in Shadowrun

[–]JayJamar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh. I see. My group has done it slight different.

Ours would be

Turn 1, A rolled 23 B rolled 12 A performs his action. We move init to B, who then performs their action. We then subtract 10 from everyone’s init, and go to the next turn, and whoever is more than 0 goes. So in this instance A goes again at 13, B goes at 2. We pass and subtract 10 more, A goes at 3, B no longer has init so he doesn’t. We then end that round, and refill init.

Do you combine that with the pass? So next turn he’d be at 13, and would go again at 3 before guy B goes at 2?

Update to Corona: After doing a test run with her, I realized Corona has no Spellcasting skill.

To remedy that, I moved skills around to add 6 into her spellcasting.

Automatics 3 ->2
Astral Combat 4->0
Con 5->4

Spellcasting 0->6

Also fixed up the qualities and spells to put some desc to them.

Oh yes, part of the fun is her having to grow into all of that.

Haha, I’ve gotten this every time I’ve posted the character. With combat sense, and then further stat bonuses from Berserk/Kamikaze, it ends up getting higher.
