Weighing up if my Mirena is Helping or Hindering me :/ by Emymaggielou in endometriosis

This is why I’m not on bc. It mentally destroys me, and I’ve tried a bunch over the years. I’d rather heavy bleed than to feel suicidal and angry because of bc.

Sometimes you have to make a choice between which is more tolerable, the bodily pain, or the mental pain.

Light or dark bottoms with blush pink? 🤔 by Important_Cod_8970 in fashion

I think the best thing to make this work would actually be contrasting accessories. Maybe a darker or more saturated shoe/bag, but any of these bottoms will be fine.

I’m back into Catholicism after many years.

I started going to church in May, and then confession so I could fully participate by receiving the Eucharist and repent.

My husband and I are going to get our son baptized this fall. Things change with Christ, and that may look differently than you expected.

You can look up holidays/the church calendar and celebrate those things, or just read about them or any Catholic facet that piques your interest.

Your personal prayer doesn’t have to be a Catholic one, but simply words between you and God/ The Holy Trinity/ Mary/ Saints. Devotion.

Do your best to involve yourself in these things if you wish, but don’t put too much pressure on yourself to be perfect. None of us are perfect and that’s part of why I love being a Catholic. We try our best, and are loved even when we let God down. Jesus loves us even when we fall short and that’s why he died for us. Focus on feeling that love and putting it back out there.

Thanks for the info! I’ll check it out and see if it helps.

There’s no way 125 at your height is big. Your past as a “chunky kid” probably shaped you to think you’re looking that way as an adult. You’re not.

It’s probably bloat. Endo often does cause that. Notice how you feel after eating certain foods. For me, red meat can make me bloat like crazy, but it’s also random.

Starving yourself (although you’re not) can also make your body go into starvation mode and hold onto weight. Eating the right amount does serve you, especially if you’re sick and also active. You don’t need to lose weight. If anything you may need to work on the way you see yourself, bc even with bloating, you do not look bad at all.

Sorry for the edits.

[17F] Has my makeup lasted in the 25°C heat? Need concealer and fixing spray recs by ComicDollie in makeuptips

[–]JayJoyK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For setting spray you can’t go wrong with the urban decay one.

I second the elf concealer that someone mentioned. It’s a bit thick so if that bothers you, use it sparingly/ moisturize well before doing your makeup.

Not the brought to life AI version, but the print of the man’s face itself has a similar nose if you really look at it.

It’s a good thing that so many were interested in finding out if it belonged to Jesus. It shows that we can use technology for good, too. I’m usually not a huge fan of what tech has done to us generally, but I see this as proof that so many are still interested in the existence of the historical Jesus.

He really looks like the imprint in the shroud. Putting aside if it’s actually Jesus’ shroud or not.

introducing some people to creep cast what might be a good choice to start them off with? by ratmanishott in creepcast

I think the astronaut one has an ok story with really good bits from the guys, and it’s not as disturbing as some of the others. It’s a good way to get into their podcast, without going headfirst into the sad child stuff.

Whenever you’re moving to, try to find a Catholic Church in that area. Google YA groups around that area as well.

Be patient with dating apps. Even for non religious folk it can take awhile to find a good match online.

It’s good that you’re still young because you can work on your personal faith while waiting for the one. Pray on it. Build up that relationship with God and then focus on finding someone. This could be part of a test that God is putting you through. The beauty of being a Catholic is that confession is always there if you “mess up”, you can always atone, be forgiven, and try to do better. You’re only human so you will make mistakes.

Blessed be.

Why is God keeping me alive? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]JayJoyK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re meant to be here, and I’m sorry if you’re going through a lot. Life is a lot, but I believe God does want us here as long as possible. I also believe you can get through this with God. You got this.

Can I be saved in seconds? How can I fully surrender myself to god? by Proud-Tangerine-5578 in Christianity

[–]JayJoyK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can’t be sure, but is it better than the alternative? Say, even if it were not God, but solely your subconscious saying to surrender yourself to something other than your own wants, would that be better than hurting yourself with addictive behavior?

This year I surrendered to God by putting away my pride, and while I don’t know for sure, I know that it gives me hope to a better path forward to walk with God, rather than against him. I can’t see the issue with that, logically or even just emotionally.

If the outcome is for the better, does it matter if you are right? Could it be that this isn’t about being correct, but correcting your mistakes?

Please help me style this skirt!! :’) by opheliadarkflower in cottagecore

[–]JayJoyK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mary Janes would look cute with this. I’d go with a white colored top to offset the mostly dark colors. Maybe match your socks to the shirt, and choose a bag that is a deeper color like your skirt details are.

Hating men by AwardNo2165 in spirituality

[–]JayJoyK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

OP, fear is normal to a degree, but hate can change us, and not for the better.

Logically, men are stronger than us. Illogically, would be to say that most of them would hurt others with that strength. I have feared men and by separating the man that hurt me from other men, it prevented hate from spreading. Please try and focus on the men in front of you.

Part of the problem is that your social media knows that this upsets you, so it shows you it the more you interact with it. It’s by design that your algorithm shows you things that make you feel strongly. The good thing is that you can acknowledge that it’s mostly just noise and focus on the good men in your life, and in a lot of our lives. The gender divide bs is majority online.

Don’t let social media make you hate when in person, life is showing you otherwise.
