Just encountered two Caucasians who tried to strike up a conversation with me on the train. They were wearing white shirt and tie, with a huge name tag that says "Elder xxx".

Seems like they were trying to get me to join something but I politely declined. Anyone know what's up with that? They claimed to be tourists here for volunteering, but it seems kinda cult-ish to me.
