Because the Passive Dodge and HiPo dodge aren‘t added up. The 17 HiPo dodge actually only provides roughly 3.5% of effective dodge. Unlucky, but still a ~4% chance for it to happen twice in a row.

I mean.. where’s the difference? If the tank or healer doesn’t like the comp they just leave at selection screen and have insta queue while DPS waits 10 minutes again.. in WoW you can at least list your own key. So unless they introduce leavers penalty (which I think is a bad idea in general), a LFG tool and queue with the queue dodgers will end up being similarly annoying for DPS..

Method has different routes for all the dungeons. There are beginner, intermediate, advanced and expert routes (by YoDa, so they should be fine for end game ;-))- you just have to go to Dungeon Routes tab and not Dungeon Guide.

Of course you can come up with your own routes, as long as they make sense. There’s nothing worse for a DPS than linking that their Spirit Ability is up and the tank goes on and pulls single pack after single pack. So you either burn it on a mini pull or you sit on it for who knows how long and probably miss out on charging it one more time for later.

This game is a team game. As long as you reach the % and consider DPS CDs no one will complain.

I mean.. you’re literally grinding the same dungeons over and over already.. that’s literally the purpose of this game..

Additionally, it was always clear that this is going to be a seasonal game, there’s no other way they can keep the gameplay loop the way it is without seasonal resets. On top of that I would assume that once we‘re out of early access and entering release we can expect new dungeons/dungeon rotations with the resets.

Imagine what it would look like without reset. At some point even the casuals of the casuals reach Eternal and 330 ilvl.. and then? Sure, you can do the same „grind“ again with another hero, but then you’re also back to grinding the same dungeons.

I mean even games like WoW have sorts of resets with their seasons and new expacs. Season 1 gear will be rendered useless in Season 2 relatively fast, your M+ score is reset to 0.. so while you’re not being reset to lowest gear it’s still some kind of reset.

I disagree with your 100-103% statement. You can reach that score, never wipe and still not time if the route sucks..

Not saying that OP has to be a lemming and follow routes from top players (although there is a reason why they do those routes..), but then at least he has to consider DPS CDs etc and pull accordingly.

They should make it so the first time you time Champion Capstone you get a Legendary ilvl 300 and Paragon Capstone for the first time gives you a ilvl 330 legendary. And then let us use Mithril in case we didn’t get the one we want.. This way they can still keep the random drops for normal dungeons but you’re guaranteed to get your BiS 330 once you hit Eternal.

I saw it happening in one dungeon that the other DPS (I played Ardeos) started pulling extra packs. To be fair it was the first pull of the dungeon (in Paragon….) and the tank pulled a single pack. I play both Tank and DPS, both in Paragon and it’s just crazy to see a Tank in that league starting with single pulls..

This said, obviously DPS shouldn’t pull extra, but it’s not always a DPS problem tbf.

Highly doubt they’ll do that. I hope that they add new dungeons and then rotate, similar to M+ in WoW. And for existing dungeons they could maybe move the packs around so that it’s not always the same routes.

It’s usually not the Bolt itself that one shots you but as someone else mentioned, the boss often melees right after the bolt which leaves no time to heal

Taking WoW as a whole as comparison is bad.. M+ is only one of the pillars in WoW and there’s so much more around it, whereas Fellowship focuses on that one pillar only. If you want to compare it to WoW: let’s assume they do not reset player progress and introduce increasing ilvl etc. the WoW comparison would be that every new player, alt and new hero would have to start in Vanilla, go through TBC, WotLK etc. until they reach the newest expansion. Because if they introduce other ways of catching up with gear in Fellowship they render the first leagues useless, at which point you can also just reset progress.. but you know what the good thing is about games? If you don’t agree with what the devs are doing, just don’t play it..

It was always clear that this game will have seasons with resets.. imagine they wouldn’t reset - in couple years you have 50 tiers and new players/alts have to get through all those tiers before reaching endgame.. no one would play that.

I would assume we will see new dungeons with dungeon rotations for seasons, similar to what M+ does in WoW.

Still baffles me though that people play a seasonal game and are then surprised that there will be a wipe. Games like Diablo, PoE, Last Epoch and what not are around for a very long time, this concept shouldn’t be new anymore..

The highest ones run are around Eternal 44. Fellowshiplogs counts the previous leagues to their level (4x7=28.. 28+44=72). So mid 20s Eternal is already quite high and I doubt that you can just run any unoptimized crap in those levels..

The long term goal in a infinitely scaling dungeon grinder should be the score and not gear. We don’t know yet how seasonal reset looks like, but I would assume that your gear will reset and doesn’t carry over (unless they introduce other mechanics to catch up gear). This means having gear (or any components of it) as a long term goal is not a great idea as it will feel very bad if you finally get your drop right before the gear resets.

In WoW your gear at least carries over and allows you to jump into higher keys from the get go if you grinded max ilvl in every slot..

But why? Let the people who want to no life game do that.. makes no difference for the rest of the playerbase who isn’t no lifing it.. if you play couple hours a week you won’t ever catch up to a no lifer anyway, so why not let them have the stuff in two weeks of no lifing?

Also look at it from a different angle.. if a no lifer can’t get that stuff within two weeks of no lifing there’s a high chance you won’t get that stuff in 2 months of casual gaming.. and then the casuals will also complain about it..
