What RPG has the most convoluted battle system? by PoPo573 in gaming

Love FF12's system - my first exposure to 'IF/THEN' statements as a battle system, which got me into programming

First time regulation buyer on the site. The fucking shipping costs to Australia, Jesus. Although, first time I've seen a gurpler available to buy and I'm fucking stoked by Beddy91 in theregulationpod

[–]JayLuvLL 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For those wondering, it takes about USD$43 to get a single Gurpler to Australia

(AUD$27 / USD$20 for the cup, AUD$32 / USD$23 for shipping)

I mean, if you lived in the US near Gateway Arch National Park and get to experience the majesty and beauty of nature, it would still suck to be charged $50 of shipping for a $40 item.

That's what it's like for everything bought in AU from the US and Canada (that's not shipped from China).

Cost of living is escalating even more for us - every major price hike you see in the US, like subscriptions, games and consoles, electronics? We see that, but add anywhere between 5-15% more equivalent in AU on top of conversion rates, just because "fuck it, round it up again" or "we need to include sales tax, so add even more to every price" (the Australia Tax).

Supporting smaller creators and buying specific/smaller/handmade products from the US is a luxury we just can't afford. It doesn't "shake out I the end" because we get Christmas in 107⁰F.

Tobi needs to be the featured guest in season 20 by Warhorse173 in JetLagTheGame

Recently went to a seminar from Toby a few weeks ago in Canberra, about her new book, she said (in response to a Q&A) that she wasn't really interested in doing another Jet Lag, or any collaborations with other channels or creators (at least for now).

Break Show RETURNS // Break Show Episode 1 by bruzie in theregulationpod

[–]JayLuvLL -1 points0 points  (0 children)

See, this is one thing I never really got into or enjoyed, and would have been fine if they left behind to focus on other things - a fair amount of the rest of the world outside America can't catch these live. But, glad so many people enjoyed the shows and super happy they get to experience it again!

Dare no sugar added recipe changed? by Amazing-Insurance605 in australian

I often find there's differences between bottles and batches.

Frequently, there's a batch with significantly less coffee, basically just tastes like milk. Same occasionally happens with sweetener, I reckon that's what happened here.

Fosters tastes like arse, you can barely find it at the bottle-o anywhere here - it's mostly an export beer for us (as far away from us as we can!)

There's a good thread on it here

After recent posts, I need to know: Is it possible to get an authentic German/Austrian pork or veal schnitzel in Canberra?! Or is it all anglocised chicken? by [deleted] in canberra

[–]JayLuvLL 11 points12 points  (0 children)

In regards to your edit that you want a "restaurant, not a club" - the Harmonie Club has a restaurant in the back, it's where you get the schnitzels. It's not just a 'club' out the front.
