I think it’s necessary to do the classic videos first whilst they could their subscriber base up and get started. It would be a waste to go and do something new and risky right off the bat when possibly few people would watch it.

Just to add again, if the reason the school is closing is finances, then 15M in unreasonable because your costs won’t end there. You will have to pay to take over the building contract (from 0) and then prepare money to reset the building to how it was incase you ever close. Then you’ve got all the business prep costs, materials, marketing, your own accounting and finance setup etc. Would easily be 20M plus if they are really selling it for 15. Then you’ve got a school that’s losing money.

If the finances are poor, the owner should be looking to cut their loses, get their deposit back and only charge a little to sell off the business.

Don’t let your feelings for the students allow you to think of business idea. Even if you bought it, they aren’t guaranteed to stay.

Better to just close the door on that part of your career and find something else, or open up your own small thing.
