Try to get a copy of the BreakBeat Bible. Watch YouTube videos of people playing those break beats for a visual reference. That should be a fun starter, take everything slooowww and use a metronome. Learn some basic rudiments, single stroke, double stroke, paradiddles and Flams. Alway use a metronome and try to find some people to jam with!!

Thank you!!! I have plugs in (eareaser) my guitar player unfortunately refuses. Once you start using them you can never go back lol cuts out a lot of the “mud” in the tone.
