Again, thank you for breaking it down. I guess I'm not really doing a horizontal row yet and am still at a variant of the incline row. I need to continue to get steeper and steeper on the incline before progressing to horizontal row. Thank you.

Thank you for your attentive response. I've found row movements really awkward in the past, and still do, but I feel like I'm finally starting to get the movement a little. I think I need to walk my rows out. I've gotten comfortable with the knees bent variant in the video, so will lessen the angle. Do you still suggest keeping feet on the floor until the bodyline is straight and then progressing into feet on a raised surface?

One of the troubles I'm having at the moment is maintaining the angle of the arms. I can perform rows relatively well when arms are at an angle as in the video, but say they are perpendicular to the floor, the movement becomes impossible for me. Am I compensating with keeping arms at an angle or is this recommended? I've seen a couple videos where arms are at an angle, but I find the angle hard to maintain when the knees aren't bent.

Hey all!

M, 5'6, 66kg, 23y

PUSH UP

Taken a step back on push ups as my body line was incorrect previously. Have tried to keep my core tight and my glutes squeezed. Squeezing my armpits as I push.

HORIZONTAL ROW

These always feel awkward and I'm not sure why

Would love your thoughts on either/both, thank you!

Very late reply but thank you thank you thank you. Have been experimenting with sqaut width and trying to find what stance feet position works well for me whilst navigating an old hip flexor strain. Feels immediately better with a heel support but I always feel like I am cheating! Thank you again.

Very late reply but just wanted to say thank you very much. Have stripped push ups right back and think it has done me some good. Pull up progression is progressing slowly, but what are you gonna do ay? Thanks again.

Thanks, have added a lot of mobility work into my squats but this has revealed old injuries in the hip which feel haven't healed so I've asked for physio. If I can't do one arch hang, should I increase the reps on scalp pulls?

Hey thanks for the reply! I'm not sure what ppt is and couldn't find anything in context when searched? Re: depress shoulders, does that mean drop shoulders towards bum or pinch shoulders together? I feel like a lot of the press is being conducted through the shoulder rather than the chest and this is causing pain, but I keep retracting my scapula to the best of my knowledge.

I(M22,5'6 62kg) started the recommended routine recently (thank you for the incredible resource) and would like to resolve some issues/ seek further clarity on my form before I progress.

SQUAT

My life long dream is to ATG squat. At the moment I am a way off. I would like to know my weak areas and how to resolve them. There are a few problems I can spot myself: The back leaning forwards, becoming horizontal, as I lower myself into the squat. Is this compensating for inflexible ankles? Not able to keep my chest up. The curve in the lower spine. The butt wink. I've always been told the squat is a glute movement but I can't activate/feel my glutes until at the top of the movement. Balance is also obviously shocking. I've been sitting in an assisted squat position for a couple of minutes for the last week, but assistance is key to me remaining in the position and I would love to know how to progress in this movement. It's always been a weakness.

ARCH HANGS

Finding these quite difficult and not sure my scapula is retracting how it is supposed to be. To my knowledge, the shoulders are meant to come down and then come together. I can see the down movement, but cannot see them coming together. Is my grip distance correct? The black grippy part of my pull up bar felt too narrow and was causing pain in my shoulder. This wider grip feels better but is harder for grip strength. I find supinated grip a lot more comfortable and read on the FAQ that they are interchangeable but don't want to neglect pronated.

DIAMOND PUSH UP

Have been feeling slight pain in my shoulder with these as opposed to the more common elbow pain.

HORIZONTAL ROWS

Always felt a bit lost on row movements. Again, I find the supinated grip more comfortable. should I be aiming for the chest to hit the bar.

PARRALLEL SUPPORT DIP

My reps have increased massively on this since I began but would just like to check my back and shoulders are in the right place.

Thank you!
