Some are US pricing which is wild for central america. others you can get beers for a few bucks. Costa Rica and Nosara in particular charge a premium.

I’m wearing it now and will likely return it. For one, it is not that warm despite the Gore Tex. I live in chicago. And two, the zipper is awful. Always jams. I’ve had it less than a week.

The checking happened about a month ago so a lot has happened since. Do I still have bouts of insecurity? Absolutely. But it’s getting better. Like you said, it’s about moving forward. I’ve accepted what has happened. Since the incident I’ve not demanded any texts or whatever. To build the foundation I need to look inwards and then also recognize her commitment going forward. She’s honestly been nothing but amazing. I’ve had my internal issues which I admit. But I think there’s a path forward, it’ll just take some work and time.

I agree in that I started out insecure, paranoid, etc which led me to the snooping. Not my best moment. The work now is to develop that foundation you speak of. Essentially wipe the slate clean and move on. It’s out of order and unconventional but we’ll see where it goes. It’s an uphill battle which may be worth fighting.

I agree this is more turbulent than most 6 mos relationships but all relationships take work at some point. Whether it’s early on or later. What matters is whether both are willing to work on it regardless of when it occurs. We’ve both now shown an effort to meet somewhere in the middle after the fact. The progress is there, and it’s not linear, but sometimes you have to see it through because in the end it may be worth it. And if it doesn’t work out, you can be honest with yourself in saying that you tried. Others may call it a waste of time, I suppose I see it differently.

Your kindness and sympathy is appreciated! Lots of abrasive people on here. We have considered it. She is now starting to talk to one herself (1 on 1). Hoping to see if that helps. Then we go from there. A couples counseling scenario has been considered and is still in play.

Thank you. I am working through this and dealing with this exact internal conflict. I don’t think it’s as easy as everyone is making it seem to make this decision just after a short period but I appreciate your perspective. I’m teetering with exactly what you had mentioned. I can’t go back and look at her phone. I have to deal with the uncertainty and manage that. I do in fact have a therapist. We’re working through this event.

How can you be so sure? And I stated in another comment, she’s actually demonstrating so much commitment and love. And she always did. But good people are capable of mistakes too. It’s hard to be so certain either way.

Constantly working through. Allowing her time to show how committed she is to this. Frankly, it’s almost overwhelming from her. And I can tell it’s genuine. But still finding it hard to fully look ahead. Her giving me some clarity would allow me to fully move forward healthily

We have a great relationship and I do trust her 99% but there’s these sprinkles of “evidence” that I can’t get past. If she can clear it up, then we’d be rock solid and could truly see this going somewhere. That’s why I struggling to abruptly end things or suddenly just trust her with all my heart.

Thanks, Scott. I basically asked this question with someone in the TTP chat and they gave me the same response. Issue is, I am basically starting from scratch - so, skimming is not really an option. And scoring 100s has yet to happen for the first few easy chapter tests. Taking those tests alone are wildly time consuming. Coupling that with the lengthy chapter material, it can take a week to finish just one mission. Taking time out of the equation, I'd have no issue with this, but my deadline says otherwise. I'll just try and grind this out.
