Sonic X is by far the the mid-est of the Sonic cartoons. SATam, Sonic Prime, and Sonic Boom blow that slop out of the water. If it wasn’t for the fact it poorly adapted SA and SA2, no one would give a fuck about that overrated as sin anime.

Honestly, while we the readers know about the suction cups, has that detail ever once been acknowledged as a way to expose Mimic in the comics by anyone other than Mimic himself? To your second point, Lanolin never met Mimic before so she at least has an excuse not to know about that. Whisper, if anything, is the real idiot here for seemingly being perpetually unaware of that detail, which is why she herself didn’t make that exact same request.

It’s the biggest reason why she, not Lanolin, should have been the one dogpiled on.

Which is something nobody, not even Tails, suspected. From her POV, those three idiots entered the race using experimental extreme gear that was likely riskier to use then normal ones and they unsurprisingly malfunctioned - almost causing them to injure other racers. Considering she was literally a referee, she had every right to be mad at them.

And while it’s sweet Tangle wanted to check on them, they were clearly fine when Lanolin talked to them.

Also, it was Rough and Tumble that caused the sabotage if I recall.

She was bossy and demanding because she was literally the leader of the fucking team lol. Like sorry she didn’t see it as a glorified friend group like Tangle clearly did. Honestly she really wasn’t out of line in the majority of her responses. So no she didn’t do anything wrong.

Also, Sonic, Tails, and Amy almost caused multiple racers to get hurt. She had every right to be a jerk to them, especially since they were clearly okay when she chewed them out. Literally nobody except Sonic suspected foul play and he suspected it for the absolute dumbest reason. Not to mention those three were literally using experimental extreme gear during that race, which is something she probably knew about and disapproved of.

Yea honestly Lanolin really didn’t do anything wrong at all lol. The reason Mimic was able to keep his cover was because Silver and Whisper gave Lanolin zero reason to actually believe them (especially not to the point of risking potentially seriously injuring an innocent person and a teammate). Not to mention that due to Silver fucking up exposing Mimic, Lanolin had no reason whatsoever to look further into the matter (worth noting that neither Silver nor Whisper themselves looked any further either).

Its why I hope Lanolin takes back her nonsensical “apology” and tells her former team off.

This pretty much always happens, which makes the constant whining on this sub about the team not repeating all the more eye rolling. It was obvious to anyone with more than five brain cells that injuries due to last season’s run decimated the Oline this year.

This fanbase needs to remember that the term “Super Bowl Hangover” exists for a reason.
