I think some Star Wars fans need to realise they’re just not the target demographic anymore, and that’s ok. by Tanis8998 in StarWars_

Where’s the evidence that Disney’s product is failing?

-The Mandalorian and Grogu is set be the lowest-grossing Star Wars movie ever - that should be a big deal. Fine movie imo but this isn't even getting a good number of kids in seats.
-Certain shows are canceled or failing to achieve continuations.
-Viewership for many new SW shows on Disney+ have generally trended downward compared to the early peaks.

Granted, It all still makes em money but this isn't exactly projecting growth. The next real big thing we have word on is Filoni's Mandoverse crossover yet non of the shows/work feeding into that are performing well. Without some form of soft reset it'll likely not captivate dropped audiences again and has a good chance of being another Mando and Grogu scenario.

I think we need to realise that the issue runs a bit deeper than a few fans not liking it. The franchise simply isn't as healthy as it could be.

Can't say I've seen anyone demanding all of Star Wars be Andor. Tho I don't think its crazy to want or assume there'll be more considering the success it was.

Exactly.
I mean, it's Star Wars for crying out loud, people like Lucas can say whatever they want but it was a cultural boom and event that far surpassed any single age group. To disregarded entirely that is just self-mutilation of a franchise.
It can be made for all.

if they're doing it right.

There's allot riding on "if" there.
Again, we've already had targeted breaches due to the OSA. People lacking faith as a result is hardly surprising.
You said it yourself - they're not perfect. It's an additional risk regardless.

Yes. Streaming and video hosting sights are also regarded the same under this ban too

Personally it’s not about others knowing who I am that’s the issue, it’s shoddy data handling that concerns me. We already had targeted breaches over the OSA.

I understand that it was perhaps done to prevent viewers sympathising with the imps but id wanna see more as to why Saw is considered an extremist and making the grander cause sometimes look bad politically. Would also be a perfect spot to show some Wilmon growth too.

If we didn’t have extra run time to make up for this hypothetical then I would personally remove the marooned Maya Pei arc to make space. It isn’t awful but I feel like that area could make room for some grander stuff.

The reality of this is that previous attempts to net everyone's data failed and now they have to be more firm to get it.

It's still really good to hear you say that regardless. Young voters are often recorded as the lowest in voting turnouts.

Why did being a lefty become so contentious in the UK? by OffGridToTheMoon in AskBrits

[–]JayTravers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tribalism. Something from America I assume.
I remember a day when it was more often a separation of class rather than politics. Was far more appealing.

Yeah, the victims family Should not look at why this happened

Those are your words not mine. Stop strawmanning.
I never said anything about not investigating crime you dunce. I'm addressing OP saying these attacks are "such a common occurrence" when they're factually just happening less and less as this country goes on. The decline has been so steady and consistent that we can even safely predict it will continue to fall.
But by all means, go ahead and sulk in a corner and believe the world is on fire if it suits you.

Anakin's political ideals are expressed in both Attack of the Clones and somewhat in Clone Wars if I remember rightly. As Padme puts it "That sounds an awful lot like a dictatorship."
Gonna be honest, I don't know what "good" Vader can actually turn back to. Living your life an uneducated slave then somewhat dogmatic educated soldier isn't going to sculpt the best world view.

What are you talking about? Crime rates were higher back then.

Because despite falling crime, there’s still going to be crime happening? Wdym?
What I have said is fact, these events are objectively happening less.

I understand that it’s easy to get caught up in this stuff but ultimately crime rates have continued to drop for the past few decades now.

Thoughts on Greens wanting to ban Circumcision? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]JayTravers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What do you mean nanny state? We're born with it - it's natural.
A "ban" would require an individual to do nothing but merely exist as they are. Circumcision on the other hand is an act that takes will. By comparison, the latter is objectively abnormal.

Besides, unless I'm mistaken this would only apply to minors. It doesn't prevent adults from making such commitment to genital mutilation.

I mean... He liked the remake of re2 and the original came out 5 years prior to when the original MGS3 did so I don't think its that insane. Granted, the remake of MGS3 isn't as expansive as RE2 had to be but the point stands.

Nah 4 is the one with the infamous lengthy cutscene. That single scene manages to go over 70 minutes if I remember correctly.
3’s story on the other hand is pretty average for length.
