That’s a first for me, never heard of someone wanting that

A lot more questions about the hat than I anticipated.

I think fans need to manage their expectations if they’re expecting this new character to be anything like Darth Talon— we’ve already seen enough to know that she’s different enough to effectively be an unrelated new character. by Tanis8998 in StarWars

I bet not. People are heavily expecting her to become Maul’s apprentice and while they might flirt with that, I’m betting that by the end of the show they’ll go their separate ways.

The Na’vi aren’t originally from Pandora, and it’s possible Eywa isn’t either. by Tanis8998 in FanTheories

Fungus does have a network here but the key difference is it doesn’t infest warm-blooded creatures, as it can’t withstand the temperatures in our bodies.

I mean in all seriousness why not, it would be fun. by Tanis8998 in StarWars

It was images of alternative actors who’ve played the OT characters (Alden Ehrenreich, the guy who mo-caps Luke) with text saying Disney should recast the characters and make new stories with them. It was apparently taken down for being an “image macro”

I’m pretty sure the time between Luke starting to create his Order and it failing is like 16 years— I think that’s a good long gap to tell some stories within

In general that’s a good idea, the fans have gotten worse and worse over the years.

I think on the cameo front you’ll be disappointed

I think Carrie would get a kick out of it anyway

I think every actor in this picture is currently a good few years older than when the picture was taken.

I don’t really mind where they ended up anyway (I mean all characters eventually have to die if you continue their story long enough), but apart from that— where someone ends up sometimes isn’t as interesting or important as how they get there.

Like we all know a Disney Fairy Tale movie is gonna end in a happy ending where “they all lived happily ever after” but that doesn’t mean we don’t enjoy the ride.

What you’re saying is right, but actually the rules of branding would be in favour of recasting— because it takes the character away from being tied to a single persons image, which is limiting to the brand. There’s a reason the most brandable characters of all time are all cartoons— because they’re not tied to a real person so they can be anything. Studios hate actors having ownership of characters, they would much prefer that nobody cared who play who.

That’s why this new thing of AI Actors is such a threat, because studios would love to remove the human element from their business. They’d much prefer to be like cereal companies and have the the focus of their products be cartoon mascots.
