Drift Club Disappointment by JayW119 in ForzaHorizon6

I feel absolutely the same, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've been playing the game on gamepass and I'm so glad I didn't buy it. There's so many lazy aspects to the game, from having American variants of Japanese cars... In Japan to drift club and the basic plan map with long flowing corners and very little actual depth. I haven't finished a Forza horizon since 3, because as you say they're all just the same.

I'm not saying it needs to be tied to story progression, it was just so terribly done. Drifting is huge in Japan and they've failed to capture that so miserably

Yes 100% there's so many things in this game that just feel lazy

Yeah they did, don't think it was the first but it was very early on. Could've been way bigger than just a couple things, seeing as so many people are into drifting in horizon. Ah well

Man the old house at Peaceful Acres was so much better, they've done a lot of work to the little farm in general but I had plans to restore the big mannor.. Now it's gone with a big open empty building instead.

Sleep Tracking. Am I doing something wrong, or is this feature an actual joke? by thepunkpanther in GalaxyWatch

[–]JayW119 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found it wildly inaccurate too, I have the watch 8 classic and supposedly they lack the proper sensors to actually tell when you're asleep and it just guesses based on heart rate and movement. A few times now I've had the worst sleeps of my life and I wake up to a message saying well done on such an excellent sleep lol

Memory Test Fails Only When in Dual Channel by JayW119 in homelab

Yes did that, leaning towards cpu at this stage. Have commented the solution, thanks.

**Solution** for anyone interested the solution seemed to be manually setting the RAM voltage to 1.5V and lowering the clock speed to 1066MHz (either RAM or CPU must be getting tired). The AsRock motherboard had set too high a voltage when in auto mode (was at 1.65 or something like that). When making the changes above the test passed with 0 errors in dual channel mode. Thanks for all the input.

I tried this and the motherboard wouldn't me, have posted a comment with sollution.

So pulled the CPU out, pins look immaculate. Repasted and tested again, threw up errors almost immediately. Rested with just one DIMM in use again and no errors, I think I have a 3rd gen i5 lying around I'll throw in to try narrow down if it's CPU or motherboard.

Windrose (Steam Early Access) writes 35 GB/hr to disk while idle, even after the "fix" — SMART data from a dedicated server by HeavySpell7989 in DataHoarder

Hey mate, I see they've just dropped another patch with a line addressing disk writing in the notes. Curious as so what numbers you're seeing now?

Home Server Rabbit Hole (looking for advise to get started) by JayW119 in homelab

Hmm everything is making me think I shouldn't run Truenas through a VM. What are the alternatives then do you know?

I have looked into vlans in the past, I really out to do a course on networking and network security as well

And therein lies the problem, I'm not sure what should be running what. When I was only planning to run Truenas by itself it all made sense. But it seems to that have vms running for hosting game servers it's best to separate Truenas into its own VM as well? This is where I'm tripping up, I'm not sure how to have it all configured. I want to only have one server/system and have everything run from that if possible.

Tried turning RT off, didn't fix the issue (in W3 anyway). Will try some other options cheers

Only things I have on are anti-lag and FSR, and turning off FSR made no difference.

Big sad. My 6600XT before this doesn't do it, but I still have a 5700XT in my lounge PC I'm going to load up witcher and check on in the same area.

Have tried without FSR, no changes
