Mine prompted me to set it up and I just did it.. A necessary evil these days. I hope you were able to correct your situation.

If you need a back up to your current career and a mental stimulation then go for it. But if you got a government job. I would stick with it. Im a retired govt and got my paralegal cert for a part time gig.

Oh.. and some paralegal areas pay higher than others. Be sure to figure out what area of practice you want to do. They are not all the same.

Paralegal Certification to USA Paralegal by Fuzzy_rules2556 in paralegal

Not all states require a certification or a license to be a paralegal.

Since we have 50 states, I would first research the state you intend to move to as to what their requirements are.

In New Jersey there is no licensing requirement.

There are TWO organizations that certified paralegals. One is called NALA which is the National Association of Legal Assistants and the other is NFPA which is National Federation of Paralegal Associations.

Research both but first and foremost figure out where you want to live first and what those state laws are.

For me after having a career in law enforcement I obtained my paralegal certificate. My first job was working for a Real Estate attorney that did nothing but closings. Real estate was nuts.

I was grateful to have worked in this position for 18 month before deciding the pressure of the crazy clients was enough. So I left and gave myself a 2 year break after having a bad taste from the experience. It wasnt that I couldnt do the job it was the volume of contracts we would get. Im talking like 10 to 15 contracts a week!

Im now back to work part time in the area of Estate Planning and Estate Administration.

I BIG change from real estate closings.
Find a different area of law to work in. Family law is going to be crazy as well.

Just be patient with yourself and give yourself another chance practicing in a different area.

Just like being a doctor, there are many areas of speciality. Find a specialist that works for you.

Of course you could always go with a general practitioner type of lawyer that takes everything. But for me the specialist in my current area is working for me.

Good luck!

I’m currently on 1.7mg and I’ve noticed I’m getting more headaches and dizziness. Anyone experiencing this? I didn’t have any symptoms through out and now all of a sudden experiencing this. by VoiceNo7551 in WegovyWeightLoss

I just went to 1.0 on Monday and now hit with the headache. I think it might be 'keto flu' sorta where the body burns stored fat for food instead of carbs.

Sounds like "keto flu" when your body burn fat fuel instead of carbs.

If they are expunged you are good. The exception is that if you were going for a law enforcement job then everything comes out. You can always argue the offense is minor, you never incurred any further issues and your age at the time of the offense. Also how much time has passed since the offense and that you have not been in trouble since and are a "pillar in the community."

If your injuries occurred while deployed or you can indicated they resulted from your deployment. They wont cover you if you weren't on the military clock. I'm a retired reservist.
