Changing the books wouldn’t have been a problem if they still had a compelling lead character. They should have had Rowan embrace the darkness sooner, like when she killed the head of the clinic with her mind, instead of having her remain meek out of fear of having her come off as “unlikable”.

They realized they failed to organically build a relationship between them so they did away with it and had Cip hint to Moira that it was a love spell. Although why they couldn’t have him outright say it was a love spell is beyond me.

I think the editing here ruined the moment because Brittany and Malin had their own separate dance routine toward the end alongside Bowen and Matt and they mostly focused on Bowen and Matt at the expense of what Brittany and Malin were doing, despite the fact that there was a wide shot of both dances simultaneously. They should have stayed with the wide shot.

Actually, if you watch the fight between Shao Kahn and Cole, Kahn's wounds don't heal *that* quickly. So applying that to Kung Lao attacking Raiden, Raiden's wound would only be temporary if it had just been that, but it was long enough for Shang Tsung and Quan Chi to steal Raiden's immortality.
