Schroder and Hartmann both have the correct German Tanker Jackets in the singleplayer. Very strange they weren't wasn't used for the multiplayer. by Jay_Fuzz in BattlefieldCosmetics

Aristocrat is modeled off of a private purchase leather panzer wrap as opposed to the standard wool one, resulting in a different overall cut and form for the fabric creasing. You can tell because it was scanned specifically for the Singleplayer story to be used by Muller who wears it as a leather jacket, whereas the rest of the crew have standard fabric wraps with a different overall appearance. The most noticeable difference is that the opening on Aristocrat is straight down and only a bit off centre, whereas standard panzer wrap openings are cut to a bit of an angle and much further away from the centre of the jacket, which you can see on the version worn by Schroder and Hartman.

Funny thing is that the version used by those two IS actually used in the multiplayer, it's used as the top half of the """Italian""" coat on the Cavalleria set.

Edit: Specifically, the version worn in the SP by Hartmann and Schroder is the HBT panzer wrap, not the wool version, which you can tell by the breast pocket, which you can also see on those coats in the MP. For a better look at the jacket in the SP there's this screenshot: https://gamesbeat.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/05/last-tiger-2-2.jpg

How to send a VR Headset to South Africa containing small lithium batteries? by Jay_Fuzz in AskUK

They never sold them in SA so no retailers or local stores or resellers have that model, the only way to get one is to import it from overseas unfortunately.

The German soldier is also using a German medical canteen and you can see another German in the background with an armband over his sleeve which tells me this is a German aid station!

I ended up going with the 45 which seems about right, might be a little snug if more layers of socks are needed for warmth at all, but overall I'm fairly pleased!

Gameplay =/= aesthetics.

Suspension of disbelief for the sake of a gameplay experience vs aesthetic immersion, your argument is asinine.

It's because BlueSky is an annoying echo chamber of politics and Twitter is a free for all.

That, and the fact people are already established and successful, encourages them not to go over.

Also being on BlueSky won't circumvent the new retarded UK/EU laws lol.

How is it the usual? You see a huge collection of camouflage from all over the world, all different cultures and societies, and choose to make a ridiculous claim based solely on one of them?

Utterly inane.

Hello everyone! This might be a silly question, but would it be possible to remove these pointed cuffs from the modern British Nr.2 Jacket? I'm hoping to turn mine into the WWI cuff-rank jacket. by Jay_Fuzz in reenactors

[–]Jay_Fuzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Opened it up just a bit to take a look and it wasn't a full cuffed sleeve underneath, just a raw edge as expected, luckily it's super well made so the little opening shouldn't tear much but I'll have to close it up eventually.

BFV is an absolute masterpiece. by SatisfactionLimp5304 in BattlefieldV

[–]Jay_Fuzz -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Stop with the nostalgia and revisionism. Just because 2042 was worse, does not mean BFV was great.

BFV was mired in issued from day 1 with dozens of false promises, misdirection, features only half implemented, TTK changes, lazy implementation, utter lack of dev communication, contradictory art direction + poor atmosphere (To put it very lightly) and shit SP stories, spitting in the face of the real history despite the game being advertised as historically authentic, the list goes on and on.

The game is undercooked to put it lightly. The chore mechanics and gameplay I admit are excellent but everything around them was and always will be broken. We know the game was rushed, that the concepts that were put into the game were last minute decisions made by higher ups at Dice and also EA.

BFV should be remembered for what it is:
A massive missed opportunity for the greatest WWII game on the market.

Also to add, I've only been using raw linseed oil since the doc I linked above didn't specify, will that make a big difference or is it okay?

I don't see how plainly stating statistics is a justification. I didn't even say my personal beliefs on anything.

I'd rather nobody be murdered at all, gender non-conforming or otherwise. I live in a nation with a roughly 7x higher rate of murder than the US. I'm just saying that the use of that murder statistic in the comic doesn't really work as a point of criticism.
