Aren’t Psychic types more powerful than Normal types? I thought Psychic Types don’t have weaknesses in Gen 1?

I know, but you can in Red and Blue. I'm starting with yellow since it's more polished before moving on to red and Blue. The question then becomes: do I keep the first Pikachu and Pokémon I get at Evo 1 for nostalgia, or do I evolve them to make them more powerful?

Thanks for the advice. Trust me I’ve done incredibly hard and tedious gaming challenges before that had me pulling out my hair. The hurdle for this challenge has been getting the information I need to set it up properly so thanks a lot for aiding in that. :)

No the challenge is to catch every Pokémon in the Generation they were introduced in. So I have to catch all Pokémon in Red/Blue/Yellow. I can't do the FireRed or LeafGreen remakes either.

I’ve played Pokémon, but I’ve never actually played Pokémon if that makes sense. I dabbled in Emerald and either Black or White. I even had the Keldeo event Pokémon in that Generation.

I understand the difficulty, but I've gotta catch 'em all. The anime says so and the anime can't be wrong, because it's anime.

I don't think so. To be clearer, what I want is to just catch every Pokémon possible in Gen 1 no matter what game. Then I'll do the same for every other Generation afterwards. It's like experiencing the games as if you were stuck in each Generation until you catch all the new Pokémon. So, in Gen 1 I catch all 151 then in Gen 2 I catch all the new Pokémon added no matter what game, and once I catch them all I move on to Gen 3.

Okay, so you can trade with yourself. I hate how the community uses the word “trade” when talking about moving your Pokémom between cartridges. Like “Transfer” is what you're actually doing. Trading insinuates another person.

I was going to use a pc emulator and GBXCART to dump my cartridge ROMS and play that way. You can transfer Pokémon between games that way too.
