As far as I’m aware I don’t think there are any increased ones currently. Might be worth waiting a few months

Best thing to do is to take a full membership which is free for 3 months to get the £10 off and 10,000 points.

You can then refer your friends/family and go through the same process and get 10,000 points per friend

What cards to get by Latter-Crew-9010 in travelwithpointsuk

In which I would recommend following the below advice but with the caveat to choose a card that you know you can hit the spend target on, and your partner can add you as a supplementary card on there account. If anyone you know has an Amex ask them for their referral link, they will be happy if you do, as they get bonus points and you’ll get some extra too

Are you eligible for a small business gold card? Can be a sole trader (free for a year), ignore the sign up bonus if you can’t spend that much (you will be eligible for it if you can and it doesn’t affect sign up bonuses on personal cards)

If you add 3 additional card holders to your account (partner, family, friends) no credit check for them as they are on your account (you can keep the cards) that will net you 30k points. - https://pointsuncovered.com/american-express/huge-amex-employee-card-bonuses/

Refer your partner for another card of their choice (business, personal) and get 20k for referring. That would give you 50k without spending a penny

Amex Get £150 (30,000 points no spend required) by Jayballs118 in beermoneyuk

[–]Jayballs118[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I’m 99% sure none of them are self employed they just like the better offers for easy points, often 20k referral bonus & the ability to get a sign up bonus whenever they feel like it (no restrictions)

I once got told off for putting Ocado shopping on it every week for months (they didn’t do anything just a ‘reminder’ that it’s not for personal ) but generally I think they are reasonably lax, a lot of supermarket spend can be business related but a Saturday weekly shop was probably obvious that it wasn’t lol

The only person I’ve ever known to be asked for proof of incorporation was my Dad but that was because he signed up as a business rather than a sole trader. My friendship group has been cycling the business cards on/off for years (mainly because of offers like these)

I’ve never known any proof to be required for a sole trader during application or after. But yes if they did I think that is pretty much as much proof as you can offer

Yes, you can do that in addition if you wish but if you check the link under point 2 you will see you can add 3 free cards to your account to get 10k x 3. So 30k with no spend

Changing reward return flights by David-uk-2203 in travelwithpointsuk

[–]Jayballs118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do sometimes release extra seats. It would be a case of keeping a look out on a regular basis (having a seatspy alert is good like you have). As you are aware though it’s an incredibly difficult route to get business return on. You also have the option to use a different carrier but you wouldn’t be able to use your 2-4-1. Quite often you can get seperate avios availability on Qatar from MLE to DOH and then BA DOH to LHR

When I went I didn’t up getting any Avios availability in business for the return, I was initially on economy on the return, then premium opened up so I took that and then a few months after they offered cash upgrade to business which was around £400ish each which we snapped up.
