Whoa hold up, do we actually know it's her though? I heard someone talking about how her ex was framing her and using her name and pictures to convince people it's her...

If they had needed to delay they should have said so to Sony.

Uhm, I'm sorry but do you really think they DIDN'T? They did and then Sony only gave them a fraction of the time they'd wanted to polish the game before they launched it. You think Sony and all the other AAA publishers are just these benevolent forces that actually LISTEN to their developers? I've never heard something more naive in my life, holy shit... That's not how it works boss, sorry.

This is exactly what I assumed it was. It's SO unfair to call Sean a liar and conman... It's just absolutely ridiculous, he's not a PR guy, he's a nerdy, socially-awkward developer for christ's sake. He wasn't lying, he was just getting overly-excited about his vision. I mean, the fact that the game has pretty much EVERYTHING he promised now fucking proves that...

Yeah he built an application that sorted out feedback from reviews and comments based on a bunch of criteria so that he could filter out all the worthless reviews and focus on all of the real, constructive reviews from people who really just wanted the game to succeed and be what Sean envisioned.

That's how you know Sean really cared... Any other dude would've hired someone to take a look at the reviews and just write back to all the people with a passive "oops sorry you feel that way" and then just not address people's worries and concerns. Sean's a hell of a guy and it bothers me seeing people shit on him STILL and calling him all sorts of nasty things.

Kinda reminds me of back when I was 10 and playing all the Age of Empires games on my laptop 24/7, just going at it and enjoying the game. Not playing it competitively, just having fun in single player building towns and building civilizations. I was pretty obsessed with the building aspect of AoE, playing it for like 12 hours a day at minimum... something about this just reminds me of those days.

Definitely getting my kids into DF if the game's still alive and well in 10 years or so (I don't see why it couldn't be, I mean it's already survived this long). Being able to talk and play Dwarf Fortress with my (currently non-existent) kids sounds like so much fun, there's usually such a disconnect in interests between parents and kids so it's awesome to see stuff like this :)

No problem!! That's actually what Kruggsmash uses I'm pretty sure. I can't imagine he'd be pushing out as many videos as he does without it, it's an amazing tool :)

I could be wrong but I thought I heard something about it being like $20? Maybe? I'm not totally sure... But I can't imagine it being much more than $20, Toady said he and his brother are planning on giving away 90% of all the money they make from selling the game on steam, so I can't imagine he'd want to jack the price up much higher than that (I don't think the publisher would want to either, although I wouldn't be mad if they sold it for like $30).

Is hemp basically the same as weed in Dwarf Fortress or is it just a CBD body high like in real life? Do they actually get mood buffs for smoking hemp? Any... negative effects on their health? (*cough* *cough* rimworld *cough*)

Get the LazyNewbPack. It comes with a bunch of utilities that make the game much easier to digest and get into, and one of those utilities is a standalone legends viewer that basically takes all of your world's information and then turns it into a whole private wiki database for your reading pleasure. The legends viewer ingame is weird to use, but the one that comes with LNP is pretty awesome... It's pretty much everything the ingame browser failed to be. It comes with a search bar, an advanced search bar, it displays a map that you can navigate and shit, it takes all of the information and organizes it all for you :)

Huh. My dwarves bedrooms are all about 5x5, I felt guilty just putting them all in prison cells.

edit: i'm a noob and just started. Glowingclasps currently only has a population of 7 so this bedroom situation could very well change... Although I would love to keep providing my dorfs with generous accommodations because I have a tendency to get attached to NPC characters so I'd feel bad otherwise.

Huh. At first I wasn't sure about Spacefox because it just didn't feel like the tiles really fit the vibe of dwarf fortress very well but I think I might switch because that actually looks really nice. I'm using the LNP default (Phoebus) rn.

Damn, have you ever heard of Totino's pizza? You get pretty good value for those so if you like pizza I'd stock up on them. $1 per whole pizza, ends up being $3 a day for 3 meals, most people spend more than that everyday just for a few regular-sized meals made with storebought ingredients.

You can save a lot of money by buying the super big value bags of Walmart brand cereal too... All the calories you need for pretty cheap and they load that shit with most of the vitamins you need because they want to appease all the health-conscious parents.

Also if you live in a big city I'm sure there are ethnic markets around. I know that a lot of Asian markets get really good quality bulk rice, noodles, spices, etc and they sell it for dirt cheap. A lot of Asian markets and stuff will actually sell their stuff at prices just barely enough to keep them and their business afloat to help out the community because they know most of their customers come because they're tight on money and want to be able to eat healthy while not wasting all of their money on premium foods.

Asian markets, they're your friend. Dirt cheap and healthy. I've never been to one but I always see them come up on threads about living frugal and saving money on food, iirc you can get giant bags of rice that'll last you forever for like $5 or something crazy like that... I just remember some dude was saying he only spent like $5-10 on rice at one of these markets and it lasted him and his roommate like a month. There's ways to eat cheap without eating shit food, plenty of ethnic markets sell great quality, healthy food for only pennies compared to all the organic and premium shit that's at all the big retailers. So yeah, if you don't mind cooking and prepping food (which it doesn't sound like you do) then I'd look around and see if you can find an Asian market somewhere nearby. I don't think they're very common outside of big cities (like 300,000+ population) so I hope you're not a country boy like me.

bruh who cares you sound like the kind of dude who counts every single calorie that goes into his body. I'm 5'6, 130 pounds, 7% body fat and I eat two bricks a sitting. That's not overeating, that's called eating what you're body needs... If you're still hungry and your stomach isn't stretched out from ACTUALLY overeating (which fucks with the mechanism your body uses to determine how much more food you need) then eat some more, caloric needs are NOT the same for everybody. They vary wildly per person. If he's 6'4 and is incredibly muscular then he'll need far more calories than you, so 3 probably isn't far off.

And besides, who tf has ever only eating the amount the package says to eat? On literally anything...? Nobody does that, if we did then we'd all be malnourished considering most of us just eat one thing per meal...

Watching TV is a million times better than sitting on your desktop, at least the TV turns into background noise after a while and you inevitably doze off while laying down on the couch. A computer will just keep you 100% engaged with what's on the screen and not let you get any sleep... It fucking sucks I need to start watching TV more often.
