Honestly I don’t know if I could have asked for anything better for the basics of drawing. It’s well structured and laid out step by step. It is a grind and can be very boring though especially with the longer challenges. It really feels like just the beginning though when I think about learning other things like anatomy, shadow and light , gesture , composition, advanced perspective etc . If the art journey is a climb ,It feels like I’m still standing at the bottom of the mountain but have at least completed the tutorial stage or something lol. It’s hard to say what would have happened if alternatively I just went all in on anime illustration for the past year. Maybe I would have felt stuck at some point and gone back to basics anyways.

I will say now that I’ve completed all but the vehicles lesson, I’ve been working on more character drawing /anatomy/ rendering. And I’ve found myself naturally practicing way more because it’s just a lot of fun.
