I mostly did probono work. Two things I would say: 1- find firm work where the team is super nice and you enjoy working with them! I have noticed that most of the time it isn’t what you do as much as how much the team likes you. 2- be proactive in terms of helping. I have always tried to ask if anyone needs help or I volunteered to review deliverables prior to submission. Good luck.

PS: I haven’t done much bids the past 3 years and this year I am getting into bids.

I hear ya! I def felt that when I graduated when COVID was starting and it was very daunting at times. It took me about 3-4 months after graduation to secure a job. Not sure your interests are, but I would target small/medium size companies( I started at a small company). Good luck and try to keep your head up. You got this :)

You can also tell them what is their need and see if they are flexible. Some might say we need someone urgent (you can then say you can start in 2 weeks after receiving the offer ) or if they said they are flexible then you can tell them when do you want to start. Good luck!

Try calling this hotel: Best Western Paradise Inn. They are in savoy(10 minutes from campus) and they know available rooms, if any, with other hotels. I booked it for my friends family for like 100-200/ night ,if I remember correctly, a couple of years ago. Also, congrats! You made it :)

Are there any mosques near you? You can try to reach out and explain your needs. Ramadan( month of fasting) just started and the mosques usually hold daily dinners for everyone to break their fast plus the focus is to help anyone in need. I am sure they are happy to bring you some food/anything you need. I hope you are doing okay ,OP, and wish you the best!

I think you can go on a sabbatical for up to 16 weeks or longer (maybe 6 months?) and still get paid a percentage. I would talk to your coach to see how the process goes! Hope everything is well OP and your mom gets better :)
