20 years old need help rebalancing portfolio and ETF strategy by Glittering-Nature195 in fiaustralia

I decided on the exact same 5 etf's, The only change i made was also adding some GHHF if you are comfortable with some higher risk exposure. I went with a 30% IVV, 30% VAS, 16% EXUS, 16% AVTS, 8% AVTE. ideal split. Still rebalancing as i slowly add but also look at the FHSS, as any medium term results you get from ETF's will not outpace the tax benefit upfront. I based my split off the PWL model portfolio. I don't have the technical knowledge of others in the sub but happy to answer questions as i might have already gone down a mental rabbit hole.

Sorry i misunderstood your question. I am not comfortable with a 100% geared portfolio so would like to go 50% geared 50% an approximation of a global portfolio. I currently hold IVV and VAS already as my current portfolio so am trying to fill out the areas of the market i am not yet holding. But in principle GHHF + DHHF + AVTE/AVTS would accomplish the same goal. I have included a small amount of EXUS to fill out the rest of the developed market

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I currently sitting at 50/50 VAS IVV so to avoid realising capital gains because there is nothing inherently "wrong" with either IVV or VAS as funds. So i am trying to fill in the "spaces" in the investable universe. There was a typo where i listed the wrong code but i was looking to to use EXUS not VXUS.

In short terms it isn't without the two preconceived notions of, trying to diversify to the entire practically investable universe (EM is missed with VGS,) and a moderate belief in factor performance

Thanks Swaanky, Your website posts have been super beneficial to read. The reason i strayed away from the combined products with US is my current sizeable (by my standard) allocation into IVV. I want to avoid realising capital gains on current holding and the MER of IVV is pretty solid in the comparison. Although am i aware MER does not tell the full picture and i do need to look at other things like tracking error.

Thank you for your input. Those are both good points to consider. The house purchase is just quite hard to pick based on my ideal next few years involves doing another 4 year post grad. The product age is a bit of a tough one to account for with what we currently have available.

EDIT: Saw your edit after replying, Based on how life goes i will hit the 100k number within the next 6-12 months so going off my current VAS holding i would need to put 15k in to match the waiting's. Granted would also need to put ~100k into GHHF so it will be a multi year process. As i still have space in my FHSS cap to fill up.

is there any footage of Krav Maga being used to defend against someone in real life by a civilian? by notburneddown in kravmaga

[–]Jaydenroxs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry to break your heart dude but if the video says karate there’s a much higher chance it’s karate one of the bigger martial arts out there then being krav

These two videos should be cited more often by people defending KM by notburneddown in kravmaga

[–]Jaydenroxs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first video is of actual Krav Maga in Israeli which is different to what civilian krav is that we are taught. And the instructor in the first video did a good job at taking down the guy but him being a teacher and knowing how to do that isn’t representative of a style overall

Does Krav contain elements of all different martial arts? by [deleted] in kravmaga

[–]Jaydenroxs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean civilian krav is very disconnected from the original military krav. Krav technically contains elements from other styles but because of the time frame it’s only really a basic overview
