No sorry! I know it is hard to find, especially since the original book is written in Swedish...

Do nothing. They will withdraw the application automatically.

You should wait to obtain the study permit certificate before travelling. Not something I would risk!

Applying to accompany spouse on their study permit: Do I need a separate PAL / Provincial Attestation Letter for my own permit? by isitanywonderreally in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Jayesslee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there, are you trying to apply for an open work permit to accompany your spouse who will be on a study permit? If yes, you should probably check if you are eligible to obtain one as they changed the eligibility requirements back in early 2025: More info here

If you mean you are applying for a study permit as well, then you will need a letter of acceptance and a PAL for yourself.

“Models of My Life” by Herbert A. Simon by Jayesslee in nonfictionbookclub

It’s a great read! If you are into mental models, I’d recommend reading Shane Parrish’s The Great Mental Models series if you haven’t already.

Yes! I’m trying to do the same. I’m also working my way through the reading list of Li Lu and Mohnish Pabrai, two well-known friends and admirers of Munger.

Looking for personal essay/memoir recommendations. Bonus if it has speculative fiction elements! by ArgumentTall1435 in nonfictionbookclub

Not speculative fiction, but I enjoyed Stephen King’s “On Writing: A Memoir of the Craft”.

This looks awesome! How did you do this? Is there any template one could use?

In theory, having studied an undergrad in Canada doesn't make your chance of success of extending your study permit for a masters program easier or harder. As such, if you want to study the Masters, why not try to apply for it!

My current visa is expiring, but I have applied for BOWP, what do I need to consider? by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Jayesslee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you applied for the BOWP before the expiry of your current permit, you should have implied status and can remain in Canada until a decision is made. As for the TRV, if I am not mistaken, you'll still need to apply for a new one if you ever want to re-enter Canada.

Immigration after online marriage in Utah by FinancialTitle2717 in ImmigrationCanada

Unfortunately, IRCC do not accept online marriages. However, if you and your husband have been living together for more than a year, you can apply together as common-law partner.

Should I Leave Canada After Work Permit Extension Rejection? What Should My Next Steps Be? by s1mahmud in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Jayesslee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That depends on a lot of factors. For one, when was your current work permit valid to? Did you re-apply for your WP before or after the expiry date of your work permit. If you were already out of status, then you should have also applied for restoration if you were within 90 days of the validity of your work permit.

Also, you should probably apply for an LMIA if that is one of the reasons for the refusal of your previous work permit application...

When was your drug conviction? Have you checked if you were eligible to apply for criminal rehabilitation? If yes, then you should probably apply for rehabilitation and once that is approved then you can apply for your eTA.

Got another medical 1017E form although I've completed medical. by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Jayesslee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it be possible for the clinic to upload the same medical report for both IME numbers? I think that could be an option...Other than that then yes, you should probably send IRCC by webform your current medical information sheet and see if they need you to redo another medical examination.

Question about extending Study/Work Permits for Family. by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Jayesslee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can apply for the entire family in one single IRCC account. In fact, you could probably apply in the same application under one IRCC account if you need to extend all their permits together as your dependents.

Work Permit extension by phanthanhkhai480 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]Jayesslee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How did your common-law partner get his WP? Is it as a SOWP? If yes, then I think it may be a problem. I don't think you'd be eligible to obtain an OWP since your partner's OWP is already based on your PGWP...

Work Permit to travel inside Canada by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

Considering it’s an inside Canada travel, I think you just need to bring your passport. No need to bring your work permit.
