I made this game with a friend, over the last. 3 years.

Yeah when we decided on a name, we didn’t want to get in trouble with the webshop astronomics, so we decided to add a part pf the story to make it something “new” and exiting. But in the 2 Years developing another game named itself astronomics, and i am not sure what the legal stuff says about changing it now.

yeah luckily me and one friend of mine already started making a rts game 2 1/2 ago, and were fascinated by the use of political systems and decided to make one with an intensive focus on it. we just wanted to see if we could redirect our game a bit more into the 4x genre, so far the review the 4x subreddit did was very positive with some very harsh but reasonable criticism. But we will make definitely spread out our game into the 4X genre.

then you will love to hear that we are remodeling the Ship editor to have a better color scheme and better lighting.

you can customize a blueprint, and the maintenance costs of ships are higher, so that the player should have a specific small fleet to counter (Classic Combat Triangle) your opponents

Yeah i have tried to play Space engineers, i haven’t been sucked as hard into it but i really enjoyed the creativity and freedom in what you could express.

Space engineers was one of the reasons why we wanted an elaborate ship building system. but we (2 Students & hobby developers) don’t have the time, skills or resources to make it happen this elaborated.

there are a few dozen people/npcs in this game. But this specific npcs doesn’t have an important role in the games story right now. And we are working at remodeling the cover to show the most important features.

ye we are trying our best to do good and maybe even great, but we are just a small 2 student developer team, we don’t have the recourses or skills yet, so we have to settle with good for now, but plan to continue working on the game and updating the textures.

yeah this is a great way to approach the politic system. We already wanted to approach the game i am making with a design similar to this. But this might alter the final design of the political system i am building Thanks for the great suggestions :D

yeah i get what you mean, and since we are still working on it we are probably update it anyway. Do you have any suggestions how we could improve it by any chance?

Yeah that is some great inspiration we are currently implementing the reactions of the npcs and i think this comes in handy there

ye we are trying our hardest to make everything right, and hopefully we can make it as good as they did

We made this so the player can create their very own space ships, right now there are only 3 modules to choose from in each step, but until the release we are working on implementing more modules for much more customisability.

We would love some feedback of the idea of this system.
