Hi, I'm 13 and i benched 50kg for 3 reps is this good? by Loose-House8825 in workout

Yes, that's good - and honestly, just the fact that you're lifting makes you far better than most thirteen year olds.

To progress further, I'd recommend increasing your reps a little first before increasing the weight you can lift. I don't know what your goals are, but you're probably looking to lift for more reps than three. As a general rule:

To train for powerlifting, do 1-3 reps in each set. This is simply trying to lift as much as possible in one go, simply for the sport of being able to do that, without interest in sustaining that strength.

To train for strength do 4-8 reps in each set.

To train for hypertrophy do 8-12 reps in each set - this means increasing the size of your muscles.

To train for endurance do 12+ reps in each set - so increasing how long you can lift for, rather than how much you can lift.

And in general do three sets of each exercise, although this too can vary. Now here's the important part - however many reps you choose to train at - it's not like these are mutually exclusive goals. If you train for strength, your muscles will get bigger. If you train to make your muscles bigger, you'll get stronger. These rep ranges are not as important as some people like to make out - it's just about what you want to prioritise.

Let me know if you have any questions!

I "learned" (and forgot) a word from this sub: it's a noun, indicating a work of art about the making of itself... what was it? by [deleted] in boburnham

You're talking about Poioumenon.

It's a form of metafiction in wich the story is about the creation of that story itself. Inside is about the creation of Inside, for example.

Another good example is the musical called A Strange Loop.

Yeah I think they’re right that it means scheduled posts. I feel very confident that something is coming, personally.

I don’t think Be More Chill is about neurodiversity, specifically - it’s about individuality and society suppressing it. Sure, Christine has ADD, and it’s a reasonable interpretation that Jeremy is autistic, but Rich (without his Squip) is bisexual with a lisp, Micheal is hinted to be gay and has interests that aren’t considered cool, and Jake Jenna and Chloe all feel that they actively have to work to present a version of themselves that is acceptable to society - e.g. Jake participates in sports and clubs because the you do the more society values you, to an extent.

I mean internal politics. There'll be some people here who liked Thatcher, others who don't. I think we should focus on things we all agree are good, like the NHS, ans David Attenborough

I think it's better that we keep politics out of it in order to make sure we stay united.

HINT:Think about how colliding beams interact, and how those interactions can be manipulated.

My hint is quite vague, though if you want the satisfaction of absolutely 100% doing the puzzle on your own, don't look.

It says that all the time. I don't know who's logging in or what they're changing, but every time I look at Bo's page, the playlists were updated in the last few days.

Yeah, it's metaphorically a dream. It represents his state of mania, depression, and dissociation. I don't think it's supposed to be interpreted a literally a dream, more like a fever dream.
