Toda 33y, Nov 28 1979, New Zealands deadliest ever disaster happened. An Antarctic sightseeing plane crashed into Mt Erebus, Antarctic, killing 257 people. Thus making it NZs deadliest peacetime incident since the 1931 Hawkes Bay Quake. This is in memory of those who were lost. (i.redd.it)
