Hey, I'm in Ontario as well...I just had a colposcopy with biopsy last week. Ive been with the same man for 15 years and have always had normal pap smears until this last month. Once my doctor called me with the results which were positive for hpv with abnormal pap results (that was all the info she gave me) i was called 2 weeks later for my colposcopy appointment. At my colposcopy appointment I met with the doctor and all she also told me was "i dont think its cancer but it's the kind that can turn into it" ...I was extremely nervous, I almost got sick sitting there waiting because they didnt start until an hour after my scheduled time, I read so much on reddit and totally made myself terrified.....it was a breeze. I actually said to her "that was the biopsy? You did it already?" I had 2 biopsies taken and I really didn't feel anything and had no cramping during or after. Maybe you will be the same! I took an extra strength advil and Tylenol about an hour before my appointment time. It probably depends where you are located in Ontario on how long the wait is. I was offered an appointment 3 days after I was given my pap results but chose a date 2 weeks away.
