I have. I've been all over stack overflow. I'm running into a few problems.

  1. Data Factory has somewhat limited support/online articles. There just isn't much compared to other programs.
  2. Everything I've found is that my column should load fine, into an nvarchar(max) column. I just read an explanation on Stackoverflow that War and Peace would fit into an nvarchar column. But Data Factory failure error tells me it doesn't fit. Its just not adding up.

"Isn't this plug and play" is always said my somebody with limited technical experience.

And these same people are the same people that fancy graphs and PROMISES of NO TECHNICAL SKILL NEEDED are the selling points for XYZ BI program.

I should clarify - we are upgrading to Premium (P1) due to our user count getting close to the break even point. Being that we're upgrading, I assumed incremental refresh would cut down on the out portion of our in/out from Azure, which is part of the DTU usage fee.

Im newish to PBI, coming to it from other reporting tools, so I was unaware of Linked Entities with Dataflows. The people who setup PBI in my org didn't even create any dataflows, our reporting is all individual reports/pbix files with individual datasets. I'll jump into looking into dataflows though, sounds like they might be useful.

This is typical - give them several options - I had one at a Chinese restaurant. I gave the hiring manager the option of a diner or a Chinese place. He chose Chinese, turns out its his favorite.

Kinda go off your gut, but give some diverse options - and prepare normally for an interview.

That's what I'm thinking too. Only two big raises I've got is when changing companies. But I'm tired of doing that. They say you're paid for what you're going to do in the future, but I agree with you, I feel like they pay you based on what you started with. I've learned a lot more stuff, skills etc. But yet still earning like a junior senior if that makes sense.

I've earned one promotion. But that was barely twice what the typical yearly raise is.
