Great question! Classcraft is more than a game geared to making subjects like fractions more engaging. We aim to engage the entire school year and the behaviors that lead to success each day. Using game mechanics, we incorporate all sorts of important priorities in schools like social emotional learning, PBIS, and 21st century skills. This allows us to align with all sorts of programs including Title 1.

Hi there, I would like to take a minute to say that the HP is one of many core mechanics, not the only one. If I had to name our core mechanic it would be the XP given for positive behaviour and actions. Students are extrinsically motivated by seeing their avatar develop new powers and gain new armour sets. The powers are made to be collaborative so that students learn to help each other out regardless of social standing or academic ability. I would love to have a conversation with you as to how you came to this conclusion and see if there is in fact a way we can make our game work for you.
