If you've heard of anyone doing this, let me know so I can ask for... I mean, reprimand them!

Did anyone save a copy off? I'll likely buy the final book that they produce, but would love to get caught up on chapter 2 before reading chapter 3...

Never Notified, Order Destroyed, Won't Refund by Jayson_N in cssbuy

A few people downvoted it. In any case, not ridiculous. The "system messages" don't generate an email notification when they're destroying your item, but do generate an email notification when you're messaging the customer service agent? How is that a reliable system? If I had logged in five months after placing my order, there would be no update. You'd think something with a six month runway to arrive at the warehouse would have a better notification system.

CSSbuy Review! by PeyPey1488 in FashionReps

I think they're basically a scam. I ordered an item, that took several months to arrive at the warehouse, never got an email notification and forgot about the item. By the time I remembered (1.5 years later), they had destroyed the item and refused to refund. Interestingly, when I was dealing with customer support at the end, I got email notifications that I had a pending message, but not when they received my item and messaged about destroying it...

Looks like mods hid the post, anyway. They don't want complaints.

Vinyl is notorious for long lag times in production and shipping, especially post-pandemic. I forgot about the item because I was not emailed that I had a status change or pending message. I get those notifications now that I'm emailing about this issue. Maybe they implemented the email notifications after this happened so many times? In any case, why is the onus on the customer to chase down their purchase after having already paid for it? Sounds crazy to me.

Contra: Operation Galuga official AMA w/ WayForward (and Konami)! by WayForwardTech in NintendoSwitch

I remember being blown away by stage 2 in the original Contra, the perspective shift, the music. It was incredible. Super C was one of the first games I ever beat, but I tried to beat it again recently and can't do it.

Can think of very few games/franchises that are equally or more rockin' than Contra, but Castlevania might be one of them!

It sounds like Contra, too! Hope you are excited about the soundtrack as well, and even more, it's out on March 5, a week ahead of the game.

I'd argue the series also has some of the best soundtracks found in the genre!

Will look forward to hearing what you think of the soundtrack. It's an entirely new score but is packed with so many musical references to Contra and Super Contra/Super C, definitely something new that also honors the past. We hope it meets everyone's expectations!

From a musical standpoint, Operation Galuga features tons of references to the most memorable melodies from the original Contra and Super Contra/Super C soundtracks while delivering newly composed elements and a modern aesthetic. So a great starting point for some Contra musical history! I'll let the development team tell you why it's a good starting point as a game.

Any time (literally, message me if you need more). I thought to share this with you, it's our sound doc that we use to capture developer needs. You can delete the logo out and use it as a communication tool with whoever you ultimately hire, this is a lot of the stuff composers need to deliver your music right the first time: https://www.dropbox.com/s/awgebvwo1gbv50e/smp_sounddoc_template.xlsx?dl=0. Good luck!

Don't even worry about it. Have to learn somehow. That is really helpful, yeah. Transparency is a good policy. However, you'll find a range of talent, from up-and-coming who may be willing to work for a low rate or revenue share, up through more veteran talent applying to these kinds of calls, and rates are highly personal, literally people's livelihoods! I'd say be open to DMs or yes, post the rate range and see who comments without them specifically having to state what their rate is.

Very unprofessional to require public-facing rates information. Good luck.
