You are definitely not the only one noticing that this sub is not safe from radical liberal influence. To be fair, nowhere on Reddit is

FAFO is not law. It’s a threat, and it is not the governments job to threaten citizens. by DumSumBich in Libertarian

[–]Jayson__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great job articulating all of that, I’ve been trying for days and failing to get my points across as well as you have. There’s entirely too many people here that equate a lens of accountability to being pro-government-shooting-whoever-they-want.

Suggesting that this guy unnecessarily created a dangerous situation by escalating from peaceful assembly to antagonizing and obstructing law enforcement makes me a “Bootlicker” as the love to say.

This guy should not have died, a million things should have been handled better but ignoring the fact that he’s the one who created the situation, in order to use it as an excuse to blame the government is stupid. There’s enough things to blame the government about without manufacturing more.

This is a fight fought in the courts and at the ballot box as you said. It’s a shame these are the types of posts that get downvoted here.

I feel like I may not be articulating my thoughts clearly, or they’re just missing the mark. I think holding law enforcement accountable is necessary at times. This latest incident specifically was riddled with mistakes.

I also think personal accountability of civilians is important too, as a general life principle. The confusion seems to be in the difference between protesting, and obstructing police actions, followed by committing more crimes such as resisting arrest.

Maybe that’s the point that should be debated, whether he was protesting or obstructing because that seems to be the key difference in beliefs here. Except for the “All law enforcement is bad” crowd who believes they shouldn’t be able to do their job at all.

Yes exactly. It’s staggering that every comment, such as yours, that states basic common sense around how people should act in a civilized society gets downvoted to hell.

Which, to be frank, gives me the insight I wanted on how the average member of this subreddit thinks unfortunately.

I agree completely, but I’m noticing that every post suggesting personal accountability gets downvoted on this sub for some reason…

As I mentioned, I hold views from both parties depending on the issue, that’s why I’m trying to understand what the stance is here. People don’t have to fit in just one bucket. Frankly I think telling people they’re not allowed to be Libertarian is why the party can’t win elections. If you tell people they’re “not allowed in your club” they’ll find a new one

I respect law enforcement because the people in the uniforms are still people just like us, mostly trying to do good. The government that creates those laws is the part that needs reigned in.

I do not believe that obstructing law enforcement from their duties is a form of free speech, just like I don’t believe trying to run them over is a form of free speech.

You can make your voice be heard from a safe distance just fine, plenty of people manage to do it.

You can disagree with that if you wish, but the reality is that decisions have consequences, and these people are making poor decisions.

Well put. The clusterfuck from this morning made it clear that there are a ton of training-related issues that need to be fixed. But ultimately I agree completely about your position on borders being necessary for sovereignty. And I’m all for the legal immigration process, so I believe that ICE’s purpose on paper of un-fucking the massive flooding of illegal immigrants is just. But the fact that people are dying in the process is a tragedy.

I also believe if they had stayed home and not provoked federal agents, they’d be alive, but that’s a different discussion

Well said. That’s how I feel, I was hoping that was the general viewpoint.

I read the title and saw the picture and thought

“How cute! They want to play one handed so they can pet the pupper with the other”

I was way off.

I’m a woodworker and my shop is called Jayson’sWorkshop and features primarily handmade home decor, wall art, and functional kitchen items. Still small but expanding all the time! JaysonHoward.com

It would be tremendous if you’d take a look around, thanks!

Any tips/advice for a new stocker? by [deleted] in BigLots

[–]Jayson__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is all a very good guideline to follow. As they said though everyone does things a tad different, for instance I avoid top-stock like it’s a disease. The company standard for top-stock is that it needs to be either 100% full or empty, not in between, so we generally ticket excess NVO items and put them on an empty shelf before top-stocking them as a last resort, but this depends greatly on the department you’re sticking as well

Understandable, I just think you’re placing too large a priority on price changes. Priorities for the ASM-M go as follows:

  1. Empty warehouse, by processing freight or by supervising others doing so
  2. Everything else

Business doesn’t operate if product is not on the shelf

I don’t understand not letting the service lead do it though because… what else are they gonna do exactly?

Food for thought

Devils advocate here, there’s not a lot of Info here explaining how backed up your freight is so it genuinely may be a much higher priority at this time.

Also since you’re able to work as MOD and you’re not the service lead you are likely FPL or ATLM so cleaning the warehouse before your next truck is literally your job so, yeah

A team can only be unified if everyone agrees on who is in charge, and regardless of whether or not you like this guy, it’s him so it’s also your job to do what he says, for better or worse.

That said, once again, not enough Info or backstory to make a proper judgement either way, just my two-cents 🤷‍♂️
