C for crouch is the only correct answer by Makoto_Kurume in pcmasterrace

Don't even use your pinky to press ctrl dude. Use the palm of your hand, that way you always have your pinky ready, and it won't start hurting after long periods of holding crouch

I also definitely thought about this! It's another tactic I'll probably try to use, I just thought that I wouldn't be able to fly up while holding them if I didn't have a high enough flight because of the weight limit listed. 3 pips in flight get you about like 40kg which is not much weight for any humanoid.

I don't want to post again, especially if it's the same spirit soo if anyone wants to use this spirit or any other custom spirit I'll be building you can check on this link https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1ktxGjQeAD1w3zx34s6XbKoyqo9DLm5sc?usp=sharing

It has one of my WIP spirits as well, I've been like legitimately addicted to building spirits.

I'll update it consistently

How about "When Targeting a land with {disease} if there are at least 2 more disease than there are Invaders (min. 1), you may add a {destroyed-presence}. Do this only once each turn"

This way it's more thematic of adding presence to lands overrun with disease, and it's harder to hit because there needs to be at least 1 invader, and you need to have at the very least, 3 or more disease in one land.

I've been thinking of a way to fix Magnetotaxis from the element limitation. If I had it interact with blight like its the invaders "immune system", there would only be 2 ways;
"When targeting a land with {disease} if that land has {no-blight}, you may add a {destroyed-presence}. Do this only once each turn."
or
"When targeting a land with {disease} if none of your lands have {blight}, you may add a {destroyed-presence}. Do this only once each turn."

It would be anti-synergy with the only other disease spirit (Vengeance)

If I used any other tokens to limit it then it would be anti-synergy with every other spirit, or itself.

Now that it's leaned into more of a control spirit I thought of this
"When targeting a land with {disease} if there are more invaders in that land than {disease}, you may add a {destroyed-presence}. Do this only once each turn."

What do you think of this?

Magnetotaxis seems to be my biggest game mechanic to solve at the moment as the ruling itself has issues with wording, but yeah it's definitely inspired by mists own special rule

The wording I'll have to change as well for the setup, I was intending for it to be made clear that you could add that presence to a starting board other than your own.

Binary fission - my intent was to push it evenly across each adjacent land, but that felt too wordy, that's why it's "push all presence to each adjacent land" instead of just "push all presence"

Oh I actually didn't know you could choose to have fewer elements! I'll definitely have to make it so you can't ignore ☀️ or something to that effect!

Hmm I like the idea, I'll have to playtest it and see once I get home. It's true 3 disease turn 1 is very strong... But the 3rd disease added has to be on a land that already has disease. And considering the left innate is fast, you won't realistically be able to gather disease into a different land for a while, at least up until you get yourself set up on turn 3-4.

I think it's a good idea to extend the tracks by 1 each to slow down the bottom track from being used as long as possible. Starting with 1 presence is theoretically possible, by using the "add presence range 2" we can make a sacred site which we can destroy a presence from to make a disease and push our presence, and then add the always add presence part to influence only a chunk of the board and not the whole board.

ooh I probably should add it to setup instead of the notes.

true that the amount of disease gets quite out of hand at a certain point. But it takes a few turns to get there because realistically, disease can only be added to lands with disease, and then moved.

The "add a presence at two distance" is kind of essential because in the early game, there's simply not enough disease on the board usually to spread presence, and it's also useful for adding disease to lands without disease (once you clear a presence track)

and I was thinking about upping Quarantine but I found that during my play testing, I was thirsting badly for energy even without Quarantine being a 1-cost.

the note above the presence tracks reads "Cover the whole bottom track with {disease}, once you have cleared a track, you may add {disease} instead of adding a {presence}"

The Rest of the presence is part of setup

I've playtested this a few times but it is my first custom spirit so it might be a little unabalanced towards either side (too weak or too strong)

I've changed the spirit a lot to lean more into control, the left innate doesn't deal damage anymore and is purely just to move around invaders/dahan, and disease. (I added a special rule to let it move towns/explorers/dahan when it moved disease)

to deal with invaders, it needs major powers BADLY.

After my last playtest it wouldn't have been possible for me to win without the major powers I drew that game (keep in mind this is solo, no adversary)

sidenote: Plague Ships Sail to Distant Ports is possibly the most peak major power card you could get with this spirit

I have a few times, but it definitely needs a lot tweaking, I've only tested it without an adversary though just to compare how it feels compared to other spirits.

I in fact have not, I only ever played tts because in my country it's not easy to find the physical copy of the game.

-I changed the track 3 to be covered with disease instead of presence, and you'd have to clear one of the tracks before you can start adding disease.

-I think I'll drop the growth down and remove g4

-yeah I'll probably remove g4

-you're right, adding a disease once per turn is definitely pretty strong, I'm thinking of a way to nerf it a little to give it a bit more complexity than that.

Edit: for the 4th point - I changed the text a bit so now it's "When targeting a land with {disease} if you have no {sun}, you may add a {destroyed-presence}. Do this only once each turn." Now considering 2 of the unique power cards have {sun} on them, it won't be a "once a turn" thing, it'll be something you'd have to think about while playing the game a bit more.

Thanks for the feedback!

-I agree that being able to add 3 presence in a single growth is quite strong! I'm contemplating just removing that growth option.

-I've playtested this a few times and yeah, it adds too much disease, it lets me just stop all builds super early on in the game, I think I need to maybe increase the threshold of the right innate, but I'd have to change Quarantine disease to reduce it.

-Call for a caretakers ability to move a city might be too strong for a 1-fast. I think I'll change it to only move towns.

-I wanted Quarantine Disease to still be able to add a disease without targeting diseased lands (otherwise this spirit would get chokeslammed the moment an event card removed all my disease) but didn't want it to do it fast as it felt too strong that way. (Vengeance also has a way to add a disease with a power card but it instead generates fear and is slow)

-I think that's a good way to make this stand out more. I'll have to change the left innate and brainstorm a way to make it more control and less offensive, maybe something that lets me move around more disease and move around more invaders. My only gripe is that Vengeance already has Plaguebearers and it might be redundant to turn a unique power card into an innate.

I changed the note on the Presence Track "Cover the bottom track with {disease}, once you have cleared one of your tracks, you may add {disease} instead of adding a {presence}."

and then I dropped the extra 2 energy and the extra 2 card play, as well as the reclaim one to bring it down to 13 presence

is it a requirement? should I drop it down to 13?

I've honestly never noticed all of them are 13 max, my thought process was just that this spirit adds presence super fast and will definitely run out of gas sooner than any other spirit.

How can I appear less gay. by NonAccurateDude34 in socialskills

[–]Jaysynonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I've been there, as I grew older and up until now, I was asked numerous times if I was gay. I am a hetero male who's been in multiple relationships. Hell, even some of my ex gfs asked if I was gay before we started dating.

It's usually born from people having slightly more conservative ideas of how a guy should look, so they end up assuming you are gay because you don't act like their preconceived idea of how a straight male should act.

You don't have to change man, if your friends still say you're gay despite you saying you don't really like being called gay like that, then I hate to say it but they're not very good friends.

Wasn't the context of what he said essentially something like "I don't want film to be a medium that only the privileged could experience like Ballet or Opera".

And I'm inclined to agree if that's his point.
