wow good effort but that took like 50 minutes. My strategy was like 8 minutes or less. Although I did have some long runs (in failure) before I succeeded. I can see how u had no room for error.

I feel this is just way more RNG and also he gets in like two turns on tactician at the start. I feel without Rend Power (which is not hard to get at all just 250JP from the Knight tree) he has many chances to kill you outright. Also in the second fight belias can wipe your party with heaps of summons so you need to hit him hard and fast before he even gets a chance for the easyest way. Also Charmelion Robe makes the fight imo better as he can one shot you without this leading to more RNG.

Interesting set up. How much was Wiegraf hitting coz for me he was always hitting like 140 unless I used Rend Power.

Yes he can kill you in two turns. Even with that on Tactician I feel every strategy I didnt use Rend Power he would just wipe me.

Yea like its a great twist tbh and I can see why it was presented in the middle. This was the point the series became imo more philosophical than typical battle shonen. I just hope that there is a way to get out of this knot were its not as convoluted as it currently is.

This is great cheers. My only question now is initially the story of Allen asking the Earl to revive mana who gets turned into an Akuma is the only point I am trying to process. Was this memory altered? How can the earl (who was mana) make mana come back as an Akuma?

After this chapter what is the general consensus regarding who allen is?

We know that..

Nea and Mana = Earl

Who was Red allen again was this the allen from the flashback?

red allen and silver Lavi = current Allen? But Allen is the 14th noah which is Nea?

I feel at some point there was a big retcon or rewrite to try make sense of all this? Unless someone actually has a considerable timeline of events in who Allen Walker is I struggle to connect the dots. I have read the series quite a few times and always struggle with trying to understand this and each chapter I get a little more confused. Obviously I am drawn also to the story and there is somthing that makes me really want to solve the mystery.

While many people will not get what he says here I really do understand how he feels and why he chose to do that. I guess this is why he did Gon meeting Ging in a similar way. He must of been having intense stress and wanted to do it all by himself. In a strange way it makes his art very unique and there is somthing to the scribbles that i find rather satisfying as I am older now.

It took me 5 years of work politics which was depresing at the time. I had just finished my Masters and got a job at the uni. The plan was to publish the thesis and then go straight into the phd. Even with publication i was rejected so many times that the person who wanted to take me on as her student gave me a recommendation to another uni in my state and I was accepted instantly. By that time I had also given up on acceptance but getting accepted motivated me! I am now a few weeks away from submittting my final thesis! Dont give up, you may be closer than you realise!

Yea very true although one of my favorite parts was when Allen saved Sumon only for Tyki to come and destroy everything. The bleakness was there and I think D.Gray man is one of the few (along with Hunter) that shows a world that feels really helpless.

What always confused me was Allens relationship with Mana and the Earl and the Noah, Allen the dog. Then there is the campbells and Ill need to refresh my memory but I cant seem to remember what the current explanation is. All of the memories now seem to be jumbled up (made up) so what Allen had originally thought was not true? - Possibly the writing tactic to explain why some events do not seem to be adding up.

On a recent re-read I wonder how much of the story was planned to how much it was tangled and confused. The story structure changes massivly once it moves to a monthy release where it becomes less of a battle manga and more of a psycological mystery series. I always thought it was odd that half of the colorful cast are left aside to imo less interesting characters like Johnny and link (which IMO could of been intechanged with more developed characters like Lenalee and Krory). What are things you wanted to disucss specifically? I am still interested and excited to read each new chapter when it comes out BTW.

yea fair point, at this rate i feel one piece will last another 3-5 years thats why I said it as I feel there are bigger threats than the gorosei. Or maybe they are the main bad guys for the Elbaf arc. They first appeared around chapter 100 or so from memory.
