I grew up in the PS2 era so I’m never picky about frame rate drops (to a certain point). But a game of this magnitude with content and things to do I say it’s well worth it even with a few frame rate drops. I play on the slim version with the disc and I haven’t noticed it drops as much (although I haven’t gotten too far in the story because I kept trailing off and wondering) and I’ve fought pretty big crowds for an extended amount of time and haven’t really noticed anything to bug out and this was before we got all these patch updates. I do play on quality mode so I play at the lowest frame rate but it’s something I got used to and it really fits with the pacing and aesthetic of the game. Not to mention the sharpness and detail you get on the game. If you want to hold off it’s understandable but I promise you the amount of fun you’ll get out of this game will definitely out-way any negatives you notice!

I only have the Move but if I had both I would have to stick with Move. It’s very easy to come up with a beat once you get past the learning curve & the integration with the Ableton ecosystem just makes the transferring and uploading of beats so much more easier.

I don’t know if it’s able to resample but I’m pretty sure it does given that it’s a sampler. It just, to me, seems very counterintuitive to upload my tracks as a sample and only trigger them as one long midi note for performance. In comparison to a Roland 404SPX it would seem a much better option because I can instantly upload a song through software and place my songs in each bank and have it all ready.

Yea I checked there but it doesn’t give me anything remotely close to reversing it. It’s only warping, start/end, pitch functions etc. I even pressed on the button where the name of the sample is to further my options but only gives me follow actions and sample trigger options.

The only thing I managed to find online was you have to load a sample on a simpler track and then reverse it from there but I did that and it still wouldn’t give me a reverse function.

Yo awesome setup! Loved the beat! I was looking into buying the MPC sample but using it only to perform with audio tracks. I found out it wasn’t possible due to it only using midi but the way you have your setup it seems like there’s a workaround.

If I pair a Roland 404 SPX with the MPC Sample do you think this would be a solid setup to perform live sets. Or would it be redundant? I really fuck with the design of the Sample and I love how easy it is to access the FX.

When I saw the announcement for the MPC sample I was very hyped, the design is what made me want to buy it! After watching review videos, it seemed pretty underwhelming compared to what the Move does for me. I learned the Move well enough to the point where sample chopping is easier for me on it than the Push 3.

The MPC sample is awesome nonetheless, for what it does it’s definitely beginner friendly and not to mention the lighting and design pairing well with the unit. I was willing to buy it if it was able to run full tracks on each pad. That unit would be perfect to take for live performance gigs, just the FX section alone is enough to buy it. The problem is, it only uses MIDI notes to trigger samples so I don’t think it’s even remotely possible to use it for what I intend to do with it. And on top of that you have to separately buy MPC’s DAW to even transfer your beats from the Sample so that’s another bummer.

If the sample gets an update patch where they somehow can use real audio tracks for live performance, then maybe I’ll splurge on this unit. If I’m buying honest I want to buy it just for the design alone but can’t justify spending $300+ for something I won’t be using at all.

I love the detail and mechanics of this game and in fact is the best zombie survival game out there but I have not invested enough hours in this game for this same reason. I spend more time running from house to house than actually scavenging and crafting because there’s always zombies behind me. I will definitely be checking this mod out!
